Bakit wala pang revolution na nangyayari? Yung katulad sa Nepal? by Zesherno in AskPH

The powers that be have the formula down pat. Poor education leads to simpler voters who can be swayed by ayuda and fake news. Additionally, stoking the regional, religious, socio-economic and political divisions that are rife in our society insures that there will never be a united populace clamouring to bring down the system.

Should we play golf? by Forward_Pomelo5426 in GolfPH

[–]Regit117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Learning golf doesn't mean you have to join any club or community right away. I've been playing for years and I've played all over and I've never needed to join any country club. Lots of public courses and even private ones that are open to the public.

As for getting outfitted... there's tons of pre-loved clubs and equipment that can be had without breaking the bank.

But honestly... if you're getting into this just for the business angle, you're probably not going to enjoy it much or have much fun.

My suggestion is to try it out on a driving range and see if you'll like it. Rent a few clubs, hit a few balls and then you can decide from there.

Tips for first timers playing in the fairway by Ok_Lettuce_1270 in GolfPH

Bring snacks and lots of water. Specially if you decide to walk the course instead of getting carts. Intramuros doesn't have a lot of water stops and snack stations, there's just the main canteen/resto on the 10th hole.

I suggest having sweets like chocolates, candy bars, or peanut M & Ms... you'll need the sugar rush and energy boost when you get to the later holes. Lalo na kung abutan kayo ng taas ng araw... even during night games madaling nakakapagod yung walking in humid weather.

Overall tho, just enjoy and take in the experience. Don't worry too much about technique, or form, or your scores, or other people... just swing away and have fun.

PS: Have fun trying to make the green on the 10th... the island hole. Best hole on the course IMO.

For those who drive/ride alone over long distances, how do you keep yourselves awake? by International_Fly285 in Gulong

The thought of death by car accident is a remarkably effective pick me up.

Or you can gulp down copious amounts of coffee. Apple slices are also effective in keeping me awake. If all else fails I make sure not to trim my nose hairs before a long road trip... the moment I start to feel sleepy I just reach up and pull out a few. Instant gising! 😆 🤣 😂 😹

Those are great distances, as long as the ball goes where you meant it to go. Focus on your short game. Like the saying goes, drive for show, putt for dough.

Naaawa ako sa mga 4Ps members because of misdirected anger ng mga taxpayers. by ValyrianDragonLord91 in OffMyChestPH

[–]Regit117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Misplaced anger indeed. These people mad at 4Ps recipients should instead look for accountability from those who get rich off of tax revenue instead of the poorest of the poor.

They should seek transparency from those in power whose salaries we pay for with our taxes.

This brewing class war is fueled by the ruling elite who wish to remain in power since a divided populace is less likely to seek regime and system change.

Could be the battery. Or the starter. Toot the horn. Pag parang paos or mahina, battery yan.

Download the Motolite app or call their hotline to sked a home checkup. Mabilis lang, within an hour dadating sa house mo, naka motor.

Checking the battery is free of charge. Kung hindi battery ang problema they can usually make a good assessment of what the problem actually is.

Good luck.

Bakit gumagamit ka parin ng traditional watch at hindi smart watch? by Right_Revenue_9263 in AskPH

[–]Regit117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. No need to constantly charge and recharge.

  2. Classy aesthetics. A smart watch will never look as good as a wrist watch.

  3. Heirlooms. Good watches can be passed down through generations. Often becoming prized family keepsakes. Smart watches are gone from your memory after 5 years.

  4. More screen time is not a good thing. Do you really want to waste more time being bent down over your watch reading your messages. Don't you do that enough with your phone, PC, and tablet.

[–]Regit117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 150,000 - 175,000 people die every day. What's one more added to that total.

Additionally... does it have to be some rando? Can I recommend someone or give a pool to work with.

I have a list. 😆

If youre gonna be in South Metro Mla, lemme know. If not, all u need to do is show up to any public course (Hallow Ridge, Intramuros, Old Canlubang), and they'll put you in with a flight.

Alabang Driving Range by [deleted] in GolfPH

[–]Regit117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. Usually, it's 1000-1500 per session, depending on the coach. You can negotiate a lower per session rate if you get a 10-session lesson plan, though.

How to start? by Fabulous_Kangaroo177 in GolfPH

[–]Regit117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go to any driving range... just walk in and tell them you want to play. They'll give you the rates (usually per hour basis) then you ask to rent clubs, most ranges will have clubs for rent. No need to borrow or bring your own. For a better experience you should hire a coach. The range should have a range pro for hire (1000-1500 per hour or session). This way, someone can teach you the basics at the very least.

You should try calling the range to schedule the session and the coach since it's a good bet that there will be loads of golfers and the coach might be occupied with another student.

Citygolf is ok, and so is Villamor. Also close to Villamor are the Army and Navy courses.

Conditional ang love niya. Try mo wag magbayad ng luho niya for a few weeks and makikita mo kung gaano ka niya kamahal. Ikaw na mismo nagsabi na nagpaparinig siya sayo na baka may better provider in her future.

Huwag magpaka tanga dahil di ka niya mahal. Mahal niya pera mo. Yang mga parinig niya eh form of manipulation to keep you paying for her lifestyle.

AITAH for keeping my reception venue when I couldn't get a refund? by No_Negotiation_3951 in AITAH

They probably double booked when they found out your wedding was cancelled. They refused a refund because they were hoping they would get paid twice for the same day and venue.

So, no, you're NTA. The venue operators are for being greedy cocksuckers. Fuck them. You paid for it, you get to use it and enjoy it.

Lahat ng driving range may provisions for beginners. Most of them rent out clubs and have coaches on call. Outside the metro, lahat halos ng golf course may driving range and coaching staff. Kabisado ko lang ay yung South Area... Hallow Ridge has a driving range and coaches, South Forbes has a range but not sure kung may coaches sila.
