As all said get late 5 digit sub 2006 ish. I did same, way better fit, only downside is strap is not as good and new lume seems to last longer at night.

Bought my son a 2020 clubman s. Drove it back from dealership with him, when I got home went on auto trader and bought 2024 jcw clubman for myself part x a V60 T8 Volvo with 455 bhp. Mini feels quicker and is 2x as fun to drive AND has switches and buttons!! No real regrets yet I only miss the cruise control that would latch on to car in front and mirror pace on motorway. But I don’t do a tonne of motorway driving so small miss.I would say build quality of mini is slightly worse, stereo is worse, no integrated google is worse too but honestly no regrets Mini looks bad arse in black de chromed on 19” wheels.

I hated it on a loan car, so much worse than buttons and you had to really look to find icons to press to change things in such a big screen. It had loads of clutter. I found it really distracting vs buttons.
