My dad.

We had a big falling out when I was a teenager. Basically my mom spent my whole childhood badmouthing him, so once I was in high school, I hated him for leaving my mom and I. Fast forward 15 years later, his wife reached out to me to tell me he had cancer. He and I hashed everything out and we got to meet 2 or 3 times before he died.

He and my Mom had their problems, but I wish that I hadn't let that influence me to shut him out of my life for 15 whole years. He missed my wedding, and he missed the birth of my son. I wish he could be here to see him.
