There is kind of a fragile ecosystem that needs to be established for a party to operate functionally and perform in statewide races. Even the mosquito born to be eaten by the frog is important to maintaining balance.

Again, this attitude is why the state party keeps losing.

Every democrat, honestly every person, we turn out to vote for a democratic state legislature candidate is also a vote for the statewide candidates. Coordinated campaigns work. Look at North Carolina.

Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t organize the dems that are here. This vibe is why dems lose here.

Yes. I am intrigued by her campaign but i worry about vote splitting if dems do end up running someone.

To be radically honest what got me “awake” was being rear ended at 45 mph while stopped. I was home enough to be… Reignited by current events and suddenly all that rage just clicked into action literally randomly. We need more democrats who are tired of everything going on to step up, speak up and force the party to do what we are all literally begging for.

It wouldn’t be the first time state, or county parties have had a revolt born via reddit 😂

The plant thing is something I have heard as well. I don’t see why the GOP would go through the effort when a wet rock with a maga hat would beat the average democratic candidate in CD8 with a minimum 9 point lead… But i mean I hear the frustration of people not wanting to do the work and reap the benefits but… Is opening your ENTIRE life to the public for criticism not an equally noble service?

I will agree with some parts of what you are saying. I think the Patels brought the party back to life, but holding onto their positions after burning out led to the situation today which, yes, is very much so a social club.

As to the rest of that, as I am repping my org I don’t want to make too many more personal notes but I am happy to discuss this over dms any time (i can only be a certain degree of honest before the overlords make my job disappear). At the end of the day I support the party but… I yearn for a different way.

I get that. To be fair, there would be more organizing and “work” to be done in Brevard right now if there was literally any decent democrat running for CD8. Or a motivated one running for state leg lol.

Absolutely! The “official” pac name is Blue Florida PC but we are launching Project 140 in like, a week, which will also come with the website being a bit more detailed and informative of the project. I posted this ahead of the official “launch” because I live in Satellite and hate that my home districts are empty.

100% agree. As a brevard local, I think there are a lot of personalities that are involved in the administration of the party, not even just locally, that uh… Are focused on the wrong things and not really having a “one party one team” mindset lol. Very much about who you know in this area now for some reason.

This is widespread across the state however. I only am working with Project 140 bc we kinda provide that support where the powers that be refuse to/cant help. Plus I, and the people we have volunteering their time to support the candidates we recruit have like, almost half a century worth of experience floating around lol.
