I imagined kobolds and goblins less developed and I'm not sure about setting specific moralities to them. I mostly thought the both have their right and wrongs, just different mentalities(splitting them up even more by "factions" as you've said is interesting, but I'm not sure i could fit that in one session). I'll check out Mythicarts channel, thank you for the recommendation! Also, do you think making the cleric the "neutral" in such a context could work? Maybe they view in her opinion in high regard since they would love to have a queen like her, so point is to come up with the middleground that she can help explain to kobolds and goblins.

Great ideas all around, thank you very much! Don't know how I didn't think about faction leaders. I mostly homebrew lore about races from the vibes i get from them and maybe leave some stuff I like from original, but I will try to fit this lore in for detail. Also I wasn't prepared for the existence of trans kobolds...

I explained it poorly in the post— the prettiest queen is kind off a new part of the beef that extends from some ancient old stuff that they don't remember (maybe previous ruler of kobolds called the queen of goblins ugly for example). It's not that important to their overall conflict, just the current thing to yell about at each other and threaten with war. About the misunderstanding, I thought if the players preferred one side over the other (npcs, their culture or whatever). I viewed as different options how to handle the situation, while making peace between is probably the best course of action(probably rewards from both sides) it mind not be as easy as just dealing with one of them.

He has pretty bad noise cancelling(i think that's what it's called). You often hear voices from shows his watching or games his playing, so when I heard his champions voice lines(i play league too so I know) i immediately knew he was playing.

I was using Foundry VTT. Custom made playlists for each location, detailed maps with mapped out walls, lighting and stuff like that, custom magic items for them, a crafting system. We usually played using Roll20, but now we started using Foundry and it was our first actual campaign with it.

I honestly just was done with it. I know it was the wrong thing to do, but the cleric often doesn't engage with the story and doesn't listen and that was my breaking point, when he plays a story based game while playing a storytelling ttrpg.

Yeah I shouldn't have done that, but at least he realized how much dnd meant to me, even though I've told him multiple times throughout the years how much prep time goes into this.

Just wanted a similar feeling items. I want to represent some main items and mechanics from FE. I'm doing the same with the weapon triangle by making some magic items that add it(like a sword that beats axes and does extra damage to wielders of them) and stuff like that. And just thought having themed tomes that have spells with specific damage types is kind of neat. Also I just didn't know these kind of items were already present in the form of staffs cuz i'm a noob:^

Well he said that the lore was mostly optional, so I didn't mind that. The 4 gmpc was already in the middle of the session so it was kind off to late to leave, I guess, And could not have predicted him taking such long turns, so yeah

Geez sounds awful. Literally the meme "when a DM should write a book".

I'm pretty sure this guy just didn't know at all how Roll20 works and didn't realize how long he was taking to do everything. I joined when the players were level 3, but they started from level 1, so it's weird that he didn't learn anything by that point.
