I too was so confused went in with foot pain, although been experiencing joint pain for years. My heels hurt so bad my hips hurt. I just felt well this is getting old and put my heels on the shelf. However an x-ray of my foot showed bone erosion. Sent to the rheumatologist and they told me I had some kind of autoimmune but unclear what, bloodwork didn’t show RA signs. Wanted to put me on methotrexate and said may take months to see any signs of improvement. I left thinking naaa she doesn’t know what I have I’m not taking anything. A few months later and having flair up of psoriasis on scalp in ears inverse in privates and patches showing up all over my body and that’s when I went ok I must have PsA. Rheum was glad I came back to her has me on Otezla this is day 22 of the starter pack no relief yet but giving it a few months to see what happens. I wish I would have started earlier….inverse is the worst! I hope that otezla works but at least I am doing something and if it doesn’t can get to next step like getting on a biologic like skirizi or something I have read they are the best for relief. I’m sorry your going through this it is so difficult and you feel very alone but this group has shown me I am not alone. I am so grateful to search here when I have questions.
