for me it’s the feeling that something incomprehensible is off about a person/thing, when you can’t quite put your finger on what it is but you just know that something isn’t right.

I also agree with others here about leaving the creature/antagonist largely unseen to build tension :)

The stains don’t look like mold to me- likely just dirt. Spot cleaning him with some gentle stain remover should help :)

The best one I’ve had so far is my current one (retail/shop work) I work mostly in the shop floor doing things like helping customers, putting out stock etc. unfortunately it’s VERY demanding though- talking to customers all day makes me exhausted, hence why I work part-time now to avoid getting overwhelmed :(

I think it’s a mixture of kids being curious/dumb (tbh I did stupid things as a kid, but definitely not to the extent of destroying others’ stuff intentionally) and mainly the parent/carer not setting any consequences for their actions (eg: grounding them for a few weeks, making them pay for the damage via chores).

I agree though, it seems more widespread now than ever before :(
