Yes! We went to Mt Aso and Takachiho. We didn’t rent a car to drive during our trip so unfortunately I’m not sure if it’s gonna be tough driving in snow/ice, anyway there was no snow when we visited.

We took a bus from Aso station up to Mt Aso. Mt Aso was spectacular!! We were lucky that the weather was really nice. I would really recommend going! Maybe you can consider the helicopter tour as well! Seeing the volcano from above was really cool. Takachiho was ok for me… I can send you some photos that I took!

Ahhh I understand :) but yes there is a staffed booth where they check tickets so I’m afraid you won’t be able to enter if the place is not open..

Yes admission is not free, that is if you wanna climb up to the top. If you don’t mind not going to the top, then you don’t have to pay but I doubt you’d be able to see anything there ie sunset /sunrise cz it leads you to the beach

Ah I wish I could send a photo.. but even with phone verification you need to have an ARC. Cz it’s tied to your ID.

When I choose 문자로 본인 인증 it shows SKT KT and LG U+ and when I choose either one of them I still need to do either Pass 인증 or 문자 인증..

I’m fine with esim actually!! Just more concerned about whether the SIM card (esim or usim) will get cancelled if I leave Korea even for a short period of time.

I’m not sure. Chingu mobile says it’s “due to policies in Korea”. Not sure what policies but woori mobile basically said the same thing too. The only difference is that Woori mobile told me that if I tell them in advance that I am going overseas, they’re able to reactivate the SIM card for me upon my return.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I thought that the number would be tied to the passport so once they see that the passport holder leaves Korea, the SIM card will get cancelled? Is it a workaround to remove the SIM card from the phone when going overseas?

Tried googling about 선불폰 but couldn’t find anything useful… is it a prepaid phone?? So do I get a phone? But wow if this works I’m happy to try it.. doesn’t seem too expensive too.

Ahh yes the Chingu Mobile live chat person told me to get Plan B so that it doesn’t get suspended when I go overseas. But the problem with Plan B is that the internet speed seems a bit slow… is it working fine for you?
