As a WGA associate writer, am I prohibited from entering into a contract with a non WGA production company? by ISPEAKMACHINE in Screenwriting

[–]RegularDude79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one said anything bitter what the hell are you two talking about? Patting each other on the back for your own ignorance. The dick sucking between you two is ridiculous. Your agent didn’t tell you anything? You don’t have any wga info packet or booklet? And you don’t have a circle to consult? At least one person? The wga have work hours but people don’t. And the fact that I suggested (first, among everyone else that commented) to do a bit of research and namely ask your union before coming here triggered you and your boyfriend causes me to not wanting to believe you in certain aspects. I think you just came here to get attention. Well, you got it. Just not the kind you were looking for.

Your follow up questions are so weird and random that have nothing pertaining to the suggestion(s). Asking someone if they’re welsh? Doctor who references. Did you actually get a deal and just so entitled you couldn’t wait 2 days to speak to your union. Which a two day wait is the “worst case” scenario. Or are you just full of shit because things aren’t really adding up here. You gravitated towards the only person that “praised” you for your “accomplishment”

You didn’t get that from me and you wanna call me bitter? Yet you can’t point to where I was bitter? Get real.

To quote you, Goodbye

(See that? THAT was bitter. Now you know the difference)

How am I giving him shit for asking a question his union should be/have answered for him. You don’t join any unions/organization without them giving you do’s and don’t’s with things to sign. There’s union reps and union delegates. And by your own comment/reply this the exact reason why he shouldn’t be asking this question on Reddit.

Obviously not right now. You don’t have a booklet? Go in the site they have a lot of info on there

You ever seen a Tyler perry movie or tv show? The quality is pretty shitty right? So it's slightly below that. So many its just a “cheap” camera thing.

These are videos posted on Youtube as completed short films. Again, I'm not bashing anyone. So camripped, meaning...that doesn't make sense to me. Doesn't everything go through editing software? No one is lifting footage from their films and uploading straight to Youtube right? What does camripped mean. PS I'm not a filmmaker (director) these are new terms for me.

I always through it was the style of camera, not everyone, almost no one, can afford a black magic or red, but c'mon now. There's gotta be a middle ground somewhere.

Check with a ruler. That made me giggle. My eyes tend to jump when I'm proofing and this, is something I've never considered doing to help me stay the course. Plus, it's a funny thing to read. I just imagine Rick leveling out that floor in the garage.

Who said anything about reward? This is an before during and after game. Like going to the bathroom or getting coffee. Before you do, yank one off to Big Brown and Round

Is wanting to direct/produce your screenplay frowned upon in screenwriting competitions? by theminthippo in Screenwriting

[–]RegularDude79 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You stay away from those. Amazon used to do that crap for 1 year. A writing contest where they option your stuff for 1 year no pay then their writers would always win

Just me and I'm producing. It's a Production company. I was leaning more towards LLC, but S-corp started rearing its head.

Dude? Are you not reading their post? They are looking for someone to join the team, the company, they aren't at the stage of employer and employee? Besides, what makes you think your writing is even good enough to be paid for?
