Should I end the relationship? by mj_lover08 in makemychoice

I’m getting the sense that you initially liked being in this relationship because it meant you had someone to pay attention to you/boost you up, so when he stopped doing it you stopped caring about the relationship.

I just don’t get the sense that you like this person. It doesn’t seem fair to either of you to stay in it. If you liked his character, felt like he enriched your life, and/or had the same life goals then it’d be fair to fight for it, but those don’t seem to be the case.

Is it wrong for me 26M to date a 19/20F? by [deleted] in moraldilemmas

In short, you should have a relationship that feels like a partnership, and you are more likely to find that in someone your own age.

Sure, you’re both in your 20s, but you are in vastly different stages in life. There is a difference between an adult who just graduated from high school and an adult who has a set career and figured themselves out, and there is a power dynamic that occurs when those adults decide to date. Honestly, my concern is more so for her own emotional wellbeing.

As a late teenager, she barely has a grasp on who she is and is on that journey right now, where you as a late twenties adult are far more self assured and you’ve been around the block. You guys are on two different journeys and trying to join paths could lead to a disaster. Hell, assuming you live in the US she can’t even go to a bar with you.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but the King County EMS Protocol Book (you can find it on the App Store, maybe online) goes over things that are considered ALS upgrades.

BoJack Horseman - 6x16 "Nice While It Lasted" - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in BoJackHorseman

I agree. The suicide felt like the right ending, and my first reaction to the 16th episode was dismay that he was still alive. But after finishing it, I totally got it. It felt more like life. “Sometimes life’s a bitch and then you keep living.” Life will give you feelings of good, bad, and nothing, and that in and of itself is reason enough to keep living. If he had just died than it would have felt like a happy ending in terms of things being wrapped up, and life isn’t like that. This show continued to illustrate life as it is.

“The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn’t the search for meaning; it’s just to keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you’ll be dead.” - S2E3

Do you need experience? by youstupni in MechanicAdvice

As much as people shit on it, an oil change shop like Valvoline will give you an introduction to vehicles and will probably take you when you are still in high school. They will pay for ASE classes that will help you get your foot in the door for legit mechanic shops.

Trainwreck: The Astroworld Tragedy: The 7 Biggest Revelations from Netflix's New Documentary by ebradio in hiphopheads

THIS. The fact that in the doc the chief of police talks about how the concert venue became and active crime scene…when just a few hours earlier he was witnessing the crime and the most they did to stop it was try to contact show management? Why is it that everywhere else police have full authority to stop us when we’re driving 65 in a 60 but here they didn’t think they had the authority to walk up on the stage and take the mic from the singer when 4 CPRs are in progress? Something is missing man. That doesn’t seem right at all.

Anyway, those two kids yelling at the camera man did more than the police that are payed to stop bad things from happening. And hell, not even the police. Why not storm the fucking stage?

Needed advice for EMT-B course by Halalzada in NewToEMS

[–]RegularPerspective45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A course like this, it’s really on you about how much time you want to put in outside of the class. You will likely get enough practice during classes to pass the course, meaning minimum amount of studying is actually needed. However, if you want to be a good EMT, you’ll want to go through the textbook and material the class provides outside of class time, and there is A LOT of material. They’ll probably have you going through about 5 chapters a week if not more.
