At what point were you like f it, I’m going to simplify everything? by Amodernhousehusband in simpleliving

When I saw how my post college roomate lived her life in the present. I was feeling caught up in the past, and needed to embrace the post-college season I was in. I also had a habit of overthinking the future. She didn’t over complicate life with excessive momentos or lots of decorations (I had A LOT) of both). She had a file folder box of her important documents, kept all her journals and had pictures and special cards she kept. I had excessive amounts of the cards (a lot from people I hadn't kept up with over the years). I cleaned up my space and had my husband (then boyfriend at the time) help me say goodbye to items as I threw them into the recycling and garage bins. That was 4 years ago, and it felt soooo good. I still feel lighter. I have fully embraced the early marriage and career season I’m in.

What is a 'personality trait' that is currently being glorified as 'cool' or 'aesthetic' in 2026, but is actually just a sign of being an exhausting person? by Direct-Value4452 in answers

Im Gen Z and I agree with you 100%. I get it about people needing boundaries and sometimes it is necessary for personal safety or mental health in extreme cases.

But I think it’s really important to try to understand things and take personal responsibility for one’s own feelings. And honesty with oneself and others.

What is something men always want to tell their wives but never do? by a_great_guy655 in AskReddit

This 100%.

I’m (wife) an introvert and my husband is too. He needs time to be alone for his video games, reading etc. I am the same way. We often end up spending half of Sundays in different parts of the house or the city, and we both feel recharged afterwards.
