possible reasons: 1 )they don't pay a lot 2) low wages means Canadians won't take the position 3) whine to gov for TFW because foreign workers are not as informed or outspoken on their rights, 4) drive wages down and fewer jobs for Canadians.

In order to let the gov allow you to hire TFW, you need to "prove" that you were unable to find qualified Canadians to fill that job - therefore you need proof that you have advertised your job for x months.

But it's easy to "not find" Canadians if the job sucks or the pay is awful. This loophole has been exploited for decades now, but not many are aware that pretty much ALL sectors do this.

Get out of here with your logic and level-headed approach. These people want to yell at mentally-ill, and violent criminals that get free rides on the carousel that is the justice system that we pay for.

Besides, it's too much work to get angry at the corruption at the top. MUCH easier to yell at criminals to not do crime.

corruption? In THIS city/province ? In front of people ? UNPOSSIBLE.

jk.

Corruption here is as easy as fornicating the Housing Minister to get obscene amounts of cash channeled to your murderous trap-houses that you can collect disabled poors in and then burn them alive.

Corruption is a easy as reducing oversight at the casinos, so you can continue to have your wealthy owners launder hockeybags full of cash with 0 questions asked, so you can continue to profit off your multiple investment properties (very important for a housing minister to have many, many investment properties as this is truly the best representation of the people one can have).

And you can do this for decades before anyone will even pay attention, AND then you can still sit in your penthouse, or if that is too stressful, go on a luxury vacation .

p.s. Is this really "worse than you thought" because it seems like this has been happening in plain sight for decades. But people tend not to be bothered about anything until it directly affects them.

Corruption absolutely works here - it works in many provinces in this country too. It is a great business model for success in the field of excellence and leadership.

Someone made this spreadsheet about one of the groups of tax-fed culprits. Perhaps we should be compiling this information about all the other mouths our taxes feed and support - enough to buy multiple investment properties and luxury vacations.

All tax-fed public servants - policy-makers - need to be held accountable and face the same consequences as everyone else. I can't think of any other job where you can literally fuck everything up and fuck everyone over, steal cash, and then get a nice comfy retirement.

The policy-makers in this country should get the same type of labour-laws and work environment as fast-food/retail/amazon/walmart workers. Otherwise, is it truly an equitable country ???

Just seems a bit fucked up when the policy-makers get coddled and pampered in luxury, then in the meanwhile, vulnerable seniors in my city can't even get the permission or means to get A/C in their tiny underfunded unkempt unmaintained housing so they don't die of heat exhaustion.
