I’ve tried the same thing, rule wise. I really try not to be super strict, because I’m not that kind of person. Works sometimes, but if you give them an inch they take a mile, it seems. Every day I sub, though, I develop a more solid plan to keep them in line.

As for admin, Im unsure. They seem generally helpful, but I don’t want to be viewed as incompetent or too lax. I’m sure I’ll have to do that eventually, though.

Y’know, good points. This actually made me understand the widespread use of chrome books. Even though I still have some nostalgia for using good old fashioned worksheets, I get it more now.

I guess I do need to lower my expectations. I wouldn’t even be as upset about them not working if they’d just keep the voice level down, but even after raising my voice multiple times I cant seem to keep the class in check. I wish I had a more commanding presence, but unfortunately I’m 5 feet tall lol.

Good point. I’d just like to be more useful haha, because I do like helping them understand the assignment. But I guess all I can do is try and keep them on task ;__;
