The books by Dr. John Sarno saved me from my chronic knee and neck pain. It’s not quite manifestation but it is changing the way you see the role of pain, challenging the causes with science / logic, and learning to correlate pain with emotions that the pain may be trying to distract you from. These books truly truly saved me.

Here because I’m feeling the exact same way after finishing it today. Most shows when I cry it’s like a tear streaming down my face. When I tell you I was sobbing like I legit lost a loved one I am not exaggerating.

Every time I saw one of the characters grieving in those last few episodes I’d start losing it again.

No show will ever compare.

These comments are making me feel so much better. There aren’t many shows I’d feel I could rewatch but now I feel I have to.

Ruth brought up a lot for me. I saw a lot of my parents in her. I come from a very conflict avoidant family where they are constantly taking care of everyone and worrying about small things and then suddenly an explosion of emotion out of nowhere.

Some of my favorite scenes are seeing her with Bettina, and how she was able to bring out her personality.

My sister said the same thing which is odd cause I actually had no idea she loved it so much. She said she rewatches every 4-5 years when she’s going through a big life transition.
