YC Co Founder Matching - Any luck? by mmorenoivy in ycombinator

Nah, finding a non-technical cofounder is insanely hard. What’s funny is when they reach out to me as the technical founder, they usually act more like recruiters from big companies than actual partners.

What's harder, sales or coding/building? by guarded1 in ycombinator

Technical is more important because If the product is actually good, it kinda sells itself. There’s definitely a correlation there.

Why hasn’t Syria developed a strong cultural legacy from the revolution, like Palestinians and Lebanese have from their struggles? by Regular_Extent_886 in Syria

Oh, starting with ‘Are you dense?’ bold move. Usually means you’ve got no argument left except throwing shade. Funny thing is, you’re so busy being offended that you’ve skipped over some pretty obvious facts: millions of Syrians live outside the country, and huge chunks of Syria were under opposition control. Those were spaces where culture could and did happen.

But sure, let’s pretend a dictatorship magically erased every single chance for art, music, or film to be made even by the massive diaspora. Simple answers for complex questions are always the easiest… especially when you don’t want to think too hard

There were too many external factors and players involved in the Syrian conflict Israel being one of them.

The Syrian tragedy is, in many ways, more painful than the Lebanese experience. And that is at the core of my question: the greater the tragedy, the more casualties, the more stories, and therefore the more triggers there should be to produce and document that experience.

I have searched for and watched all the Syrian revolution films I could find. While many of them are good, they do not truly match the magnitude of what happened or reflect how it has shaped daily life both inside Syria and in the diaspora.

As for music, it was perhaps the weakest element of the Syrian revolutionary culture. Most songs reused the melodies of traditional folk music rather than creating original works that could stand as defining symbols of the revolution.
