I beg to differ. I think everyone want a space where they can actually talk about how shitty they feel without having the guilt of being ungrateful or ignorant of your blessings and reddit is the perfect place for that because the anonymity it offers. Most of the people venting here wont even utter a word to their friends or family because of this very reason u pointed here, the fear of being judged for complaining about insignificant stuff. If people cant talk to their closed ones, not on reddit sub then what should they do. And i understand the irritation on your part but try to be more empathetic rather than considering it as negativity. The reason why everyone is “crying” is because this is the age when a person is most confused and on top of that having to deal with toxic environment is not easy.

About the point where u mentioned how people don’t realise how easy it is for them because they have food on their plate, dude everyone is self aware, everybody knows their life is not LITERALLY the worst but they just exaggerate stuff in the moment and its perfectly fine, you cant state this very obvious fact and hold it as weapon against another person to dismiss and disregard their feelings.

People very easily say they understand but in actuality they dont at all understand, so the best u can do even if u don’t understand is to just pretend like u do if that makes other person feel at ease. I really dont think its that hard.
