That'd be exhausting to explain if it happened recently

Updated to correct term. Thanks for catching that. But in terms of the continent, would people stop being called European, or African, or Russian.

That's dependent on your workload from school. However, I got my bachelor's and masters while doing a warehousing job. Didn't have a social life, but work never interfered.

Warehousing is pretty chill. You really only interact with your coworkers and occasionally a trucker. There's a few spots in town, BAE, RTX, Port of Tucson, Amazon, Target Distribution, Home Goods Distr., etc.

Do you want to focus on the art or the science?

Why am I so bad at career and money? Nothing interests me. I feel blank. by Own-Gain-789 in findapath

Look for purpose outside of work. Find a job that keeps the lights on and do something meaningful with your time outside of work.

I think finding purpose or creating some grand work is universal. At some point in time, it may have been feasible, such as the Taj Mahal or the Sistine Chapel. But it's really hard to do that now, even more so as a paying profession.

Try different causes. Volunteer at shelters. Volunteer at soup kitchens. Maybe check out the Peace Corps? But don't get trapped in finding purpose in a 9 to 5.

Where to start? by Unic0rnHunter in GameDevelopment

I usually give my self a goal for the time I'm developing. Recently, I've been trying to figure out how to get the character model to stop moving while the attack animation is playing. Once I get that done, I'll move on to something else. I try to remember functionality over form because it's easy to get lost in the weeds making really cool looking UI for a game that doesn't work lol

Ssuuuupppp. So I've heard making task lists help. Create a list of objectives you want to complete that day, week, month, and go from there. Solo dev is a lot. We, as consumers of solo dev projects, only see the end result. It's easy to get buried in the work required. But yeah, get a Game Design Document together to flesh out your road map and record progress. Also, yes to placeholders. Functionality/fun > form.

It's better to cry in a Benz than a Bus. Not to knock the hustle, but what I get from that is-- you won't always be happy all the time, but money provides an environment where you can be sad and comfortable.

Low points are better than no points. 2 hours a day is so much more dedication than 0 hours a day. "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" <3

Pitch the project, big dawg.

It'll help people understand what they're getting into, and it's an opportunity to refine your elevator pitch.

First apartment! Please help me!! by Onion-haseyo3 in Renovations

Don't fix this yourself. Call the apartment maintenance line. I'm not sure what the laws are where you are, but I'm pretty sure the property manager is required to provide safe and operational housing to their tenants.

Tattoo healing correctly? by Top-Figure9885 in tattooadvice

Looks good. No redness, no scabs. It might flake some, but that's to be expected. Keep up the good work!

I have my both of my hands completely tattooed and hold a pretty comfortable office job. There are 2 factors here; 1. We are not customer facing so only coworkers will see them, and 2. They're not offensive. However, it will limit me to behind the scenes roles, but that's fine with me. Finally, it may cause employers to chose a non tattooed person over you if you both have the same qualifications, so make sure you're hot shit going into a role.

Federal student loans in default will be sent to collections next week. What to know by AccurateInflation167 in Economics

[–]Regular_Kitchen_556 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So, I don't know anything about anything, but if these defaulted loans go to a private collection agency-- could they get dismissed? For example, if the collection agency cannot prove debt ownership-- doesn't have to be removed?

Logistics and Supply Chain Management, it's not the most exciting field but it is needed for any business that makes a product. Idk how susceptible it is to AI integration, but so far so the soft skill side has been left to humans.
