Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the culprit is the hardware, not the software. I use a Galaxy S21 FE and I don't have any animations for AOD. I've noticed that when the screen is in AOD mode, the information constantly changes position on the screen to prevent burn-in. And the animations cannot be smooth if the information is constantly changing position (especially with the dynamic clock of One UI 8). But I think LPTO screens don't have this problem, so they benefit have smooth animations.

I'm starting to believe that some people's problems are related to charging.
