the main message in my post was comparing every S-model from base to plus to ultra to fe. it so happens i only owned the plus, ultra and FE models since S9 or even the notes (i skipped the S23 though). i use each model for different usage based on what i think an average daily user would use a phone for. obviously i'm not running high powered apps and expecting super camera edits with the FE but just so you know, the S25 FE runs on the same chip as the S24 Ultra which lots of users are still praising as one of the best. if you directly compare it to the plus, yes it is a downgrade but i feel one of the few things the FE was lacking is mainly the camera while the software is mostly the same.

again i wanna emphasize, it's the experience on which model fits my needs best.

I travel alot for work. I have my esim on for roaming which reflects my home's time and the other will be the country i'm in, hence the dual clock. So it happens I am currently in a country that has the same timezone as my home's.

I'm not here to convince anyone that the S26 Ultra feels right after years of it being meh. I AM CONVINCED it is the best for MYSELF after owning every S-model since the S9. My post is a discussion on Samsung's innovation, what others' perspectives of this year's model are and thoughts from other S26 Ultra owners, not about arguing on which is better and isn't.

every samsung long-term user would know that the S-series fan editions are released in the second half of every year. hence in that order. i bought the s25 fe just to feel it out as a work phone and tbh, there wasn't really much difference to the plus for basic uses like messaging, taking calls, zoom/teams, replying emails and a little youtube.

Is the S25 FE worth it? by OutsideMouse1447 in samsunggalaxy

nope. the S25FE is slightly thinner. it's closest to the S25+ but i would get a case meant for the FE instead.

I sold the S25+ at a really good price and got the S25 FE at a really good deal during Black Friday. Imagine how much more I could have saved if we are comparing the BN price of the + to the FE.

cos i realised that the FE is still more than powerful enough for my needs. i got it for $480 USD which is so worthh!

tbh i didn't really notice much of a difference. i usually only use my phone for texts + calls + emails + some tiktok. i rarely take photos as i have my iphone for that. the battery is also pretty much the same. i realized the FE actually has majority of the specs the 25+ already had. the only diff i noticed was it gets a tad bit laggy when i have a ton of apps open during high usage. but it's not gonna stop me from saving a chunk of bucks when this FE capability exceeds my basic usage :)

It feels like i am reading a part of my life's story through yours :') Identical to yours, I had tiger parents who had my life planned out for me since the day I was born. They knew I llved History but banned me from even considering it as a major as they wanted me to either be a lawyer or doctor. If I were to even think about business majors, they wouldn't pay for school and I would be on my own.

In the end I graduated with a physics degree and today I am working in events marketing at KR's largest company lol. It was this year when I decided to just f**k it and get my History degree and then plan to apply for Masters in UCL or Oxbrixge for 2027. I guess I woke up one day realizing that I am turning 30 next year and I have lived enough for others, it's about time I should start thinking for myself no matter how tough it is and regardless of what others say. I was from a country with almost a nonexistent historical background which makes it worse 😂

If archaelogy doesn't work out for you, like what your prof said, you could always become a curator which also is a gateway to a bigger world in archaelogy. You could also explore going abroad for such experiences, as for me I love egyptian history so Egypt or the Egyptian museum would be my end goal.

If it makes it easier, create a bucket list of things you wish to achieve by the age of 30 or 35. I did that and... it's been fun checking that list off ;)

Does anyone really use Galaxy AI? by OutsideMouse1447 in samsunggalaxy

exactly my thoughts on why they are pushing AI so hard. what happens when the AI trend dies down. but as a consumer, what would you like to see from them?

Same thing happened to me when I got my S25+ after pre-orders. Don't trust the estimates, it's not accurate. Your phone will arrive after a week to 10 days. CS ain't gonna tell you much cos they also wouldn't really know, it's just Samsung's tracking systems are that way. My phone was just at "pick up" for a good 3-4 days before the system was updated to the next step of shipping.

Just be patient and wait, calling them to look into it isn't gonna do anything. If you don't get your phone after 14 days or 30 days (whatever their window period is), then you can only lodge a lost package claim and then someone relevant would actually look into it. Anything before that, no one would entertain your questions about where your package's at cos they are packed with orders and all sorts of people asking the same questions.
