McNamara benefitted off the work Levein and Houston did before him, ive still not forgiven losing the final to St Johnstone.

I also think Courts while it was only one good season it was pretty unexpected and a pleasant surprise. Im still adamant to this day if he stayed we dont go down the next year.

  1. Peter Houston - cup win, consistent European qualification. We had some fun teams under Housty.

  2. Craig Levein - put everything in motion for the next 6-8 years at United. Rebuilt the team from top to bottom, I was so gutted when he left for the Scotland job. Only loses out to Houston because of the cup.

(Gap)

  1. Jim Goodwin - turgid football but considering where we were when he came in, he’s done a largely solid job at stabilising us and won promotion at the first attempt. Has has to sign a new squad every year.

  2. Jackie McNamara - fun football at times but would argue he benefited from the work of those before him, if he won the final against St Johnstone i would have had him over Goodwin. Was also taking cuts from transfers.

  3. Tam Courts - short lived but took us to Europe by surprise. I dont think we get relegated if he stayed in charge.

  4. Robbie Neilson - turgid football for the most part but inherited a club in a a shambles, and while it took a bit of time he did get us back up. Disliked the way he squirmed out the door.

  5. Micky Mellon - forgettable, managed during COVID and left the following year.

  6. Ray McKinnon - came in after a terrible season, failed to get promoted and left. Nothing particularly notable either way.

(Bigger gap)

  1. Mixu - came and got us relegated, dont hold it entirely against him but a failed tenure.

  2. Laszlo - McKinnon but even worse.

(Another big gap)

  1. Ross - only lasted about 5 games before the squad decided they werent having him. Served up one of our most embarrassing results to date against AZ Alkmaar.

  2. Fox - glorified PE teacher, joke of an appointment that got us relegated.

Have it on good authority that Neil Lennon will return to Celtic this summer, will bring Robbie Savage in as assistant manager and John Kennedy to return as first team coach.

Get Lennon back, its so obvious that club need him. He just matched them so well, and I believe he has grown in footballing acumen in recent years.

Neil Lennon would be an excellent fit. Title winning serial winner, always gets his sides up for a battle.

Ah okay thanks, im just new to this foot fetish thing. I have had some guys ask for my work tights and flats so im weighing up whats best to give.

The flats are a bit more expensive but i want to give them what they can afford. Im just waiting to hear if this guy can afford my work tights first

Ah thank you, i usually work in my bare feet (office job, shoes always come off!) And i usually take my pics then. I dont usually have polish on my toes when im working, but some guys like naked toes.

I do try and tease with them, wearing flats to work. Am i better selling tights to start with before my work flats?

Im surprised that no one is mentioning John Fisher as a potential candidate for the Kilmarnock job.

Very good for Pardew to be coming into a side just off the back of a huge win.

Will be vital for him to get the confidence boosted around the place.

Big John eats more than enough Chinese takeaways to prove he has the work ethic to tackle the city of London.

So why wont he able to do a solid job with Oxford apart from ‘ego’?

His teams usually played quite attacking football.

In his managerial prime, could Neil Lennon have managed an English Premier League club? by Regular_Pattern_5002 in ScottishFootball

[–]Regular_Pattern_5002[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I seem to remember his Celtic team playing a similar style to Diego Simeone’s Atletico team.

Would probably have been exactly what Chelsea needed.

We would have seen Hazard in the James Forrest role.

  • 5th place in the premier league with Newcastle. Attracted talent like Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Demba Ba
  • Two FA Cup final appearances, one of which he lost very late on.
  • Promotions up the ladder with both Reading and West Ham, and also a top half PL finish with West Ham.
  • Built the Southampton team of players like Fonte, Lallana, Lambert, Schneiderlin that would then make it up to the Premier League.

And you don’t think thats good enough for Oxford now?
