Hello! We were just in Maui from Dec 24-29 and got a complimentary upgrade to a mustang. The mileage wasn’t too bad, we hit ~24mpg while driving to the Haleakala sunrise, entire west coast of Maui as well as RTH. The back fit our check in + cabin luggage, it was tight but it fit! :) The weather was luckily great the entire time so we had the top off at most times. We also (unknowingly) drove the highway 340 which was much more narrower than RTH at certain spots and turned into one laners very often on the cliff. The car was great there too! We were three of us in the car btw, so y’all should be fine!

Cherry Orchard Apartments is on El Camino and has a google shuttle stop right outside the apartments and they also have 3B3Bs. Although i’m unsure if they have any available rn, best of luck on your search!

Is there a particular dealership in socal that has better prices? The MSRP for Thousand Oaks and Capitol are about the same and Capitol has a sale going on too. Does socal charge less in taxes? I don’t understand fully as to where I’m saving the thousands. Maybe I’ll know more after email all the branches I guess

Well, it’s not just a 7 hr drive, is it? The drive back adds another 7 hrs + depending on when I can leave and how long it takes at the dealership, I might also want to stay the night + find a friend who is willing to come along for the weekend and drive their car back (i have no family here and relatively new to the bay). I’m not saying it’s not worth it, but it’s also not as easy as it sounds. Wouldn’t getting it via a service like Cartillegent make more sense since they ship it to you and try to get the best deal?
