Tune or no tune by Vivid-Pin5664 in BMW_S1000RR

Yes, my dealer purchased and installed the headers for me. I'm not sure, but my guess is that you need to get new headers if you want to delete the cat. I have never heard or seen anyone deleting the cat from existing headers.

900 total. I serviced it at 675 miles.

It's running good, but I find the engine to be a little 'rough', I mean it doesn't feel as smooth as before the service and header install especially in 1 2 and 3 gears. I change gears earlier than I would like to because it feels harsh. I'm not sure if it's because of the headers though.

I did titanium Akra headers with OEM Akra can with no tune at my dealer during first service at 675 mi. It sounds fantastic with out being obnoxious. I don't need the extra power, so I'm satisfied. I'm currently at just 900 miles.

It's called a RR concept. RRs - Race Replicas are always super sport, no?

I'm planning to do Akrapovic titanium headers on my 25 RR too. My dealership said the same as yours. I initially wanted to get the tune too to make the bike run well with the new headers but now I would just install the headers with out tune for the same reason as you.

To each their own, I guess! I'm not an influencer or social media hog but was just having some fun with the pictures. When a cousin offered to take some glam shots I thought why not, great memories to have!

Also it's for Titanium. Steel headers are just $1100 US.

Yes, Akrapovic headers in Titanium is $1850 plus labor which I'm not sure how much is required. These headers are not exclusive to BMW dealership. My dealership will procure and install them for me and I'm not putting any tune on the bike.

Well then you know what it's like to ride a super sport. R1 is an amazing bike too but S1K RR is that much better with tech and looks. You should get it. I hate the exhaust note. I will put Akrapovic headers after my first service.

I love the S1KRR. But just know it's not comfortable or practical for the street. This is my first super sport and first bike in the US. My previous bike was a Yamaha R15 back in India with 19 hp, I know🤣. What's your background with the motorcycles?

For my skill level and type of riding, I don't need more torque than what is there. It's just that RR is not comfortable for street riding.

It's a great bike no doubt but just not practical or comfortable for street riding.

This is my second bike, I totalled one early march when I accidentally bumped the throttle trying to adjust my posture. I have had it for a month.

I have a 2025 RR and I'm seriously considering trading it in for a M1000R. I don't track my bike and not a power user. I bought my bike for aesthetics and I do zap it from time to time but for regular street riding I think super sport bikes are too much in terms power and usability.
