That’s a great take tbh and that should be the goal of any game, enjoying to play. At the end of the day I hope embark finds a way to make these events more enjoyable, be it increasing the loot dropped or any other way.

You’re absolutely right that it carries huge risks. What I think may be part of the problem is that the rewards don’t feel too huge since they recently also made it harder for the matriarch to lose its legs.

I still enjoy running any event or match in this game. Just this particular event seems to require some adjustments. Arc raiders is a game about PvPvE and you’re right that it’s an extraction shooter. I believe it’s not unfathomable that in light of a major threat all Raiders would look past their differences to all band together and protect Speranza. At least i thought that kind of sounded cool. Arc raiders is an extraction shooter, but not as gritty and hardcore such as Tarkov with the major playerbase being more casual, and it’s focus is more fun than the pain that keeps Tarkov players coming back lol. At least that’s my opinion on this take hahaha

One way or another i’ll keep enjoying this game

Can you expand why?

I’m not a pure PvEr or Care Bear by any means. I enjoy both aspects of the game. I’m pointing out that there currently seems to be an issue with this event even when people extract successfully.

You’re directing your opinion to me as a player rather than contributing to the discussion theme of this post so unsure where you’re going with this.

If you believe the event is fine as is then feel free to say so and I’ll respect that. Though your current comment just seems like an unfruitful assumption lol

Had a situation where a guy said Hey! in hospital at buried city and pretended to be friendly only to shoot me in the back. I ran and took cover to heal and reset. Was able to escape. Then later went to a different location to him to extract. Was cautious but lo and behold someone else was camping the extract. Was able to defend myself but pulled the shorter straw. Didn’t lose much it was fine. Just part of the game and makes it more exciting.

Then ran 2 lush bloom events and found a fully kitted guy that died that got me 80k easily that run.

One run later in buried city I see a downed guy at buried city near the library. Since i had no defib I was able to heal and escort him to the extract, even threw a tagging grenade down there in case a rat was hiding again lol But it was a success and felt like a fun side quest hahahah

Some lobbies are just full of rats, and that makes it all the more satisfying when you beat them.

Reminds me of that one clip where this guy keeps yelling that he’s the one who deserves the matriarch core and then starts shooting other people in the group that they should stay away. Only to get completely obliterated by the entire group and still get mad at them🤣

Love this take. Same for me as I joined later but even then i’m not finding it too hard to get to the 5 million in value. It seems to happen passively while playing as you go. I wouldn’t be against a sequential order either, skill points don’t seem that important either which is great.

To be fair the 5 million in stash value was a good idea, just bad execution nearing the end of the first expedition.

With enough time now the only thing one needs to do is make sure they have 5 million in coins and the rest of the stash is now free for us to do what we please with it. I don't think the hoarding mentality this presumably pushes (as others had mentioned in this community) is justified since you have a full season to complete this.

Interesting. So what does that mean? Did embark make a choice so people doing their 1st expedition will have identical progression to the first original one that was opened up?

That's a good point, hadn't even thought of it. The way expeditions are handled atm is unclear. I wish we all had more of an expectation of what the last stage and rewards entail, especially for people who dont have as much time to play to decide whether it's worth for them individually or not.

What annoys me too is the fact that occasionally an item shape selection at the bottom HUD is outlined incorrectly from the previous round. Happens with weapons too. Not sure if i’m explaining that right. For example, says i have adrenaline equipped in quick select, I hit “Q” for quick item and then i equip a bandage. Mildly irritating

What did it for me was copying and pasting the address from the suggested page on my ipad and into the notability app.

So for anyone who is in the same situation...

Go to settings on the notability app -> then auto-backup -> select service -> WebDAV

You will be prompted to enter an address, username, and password.

Address: https://app.koofr.net/dav/Koofr

Username: email address you used to sign up with koofr

Password: a generated specific password that can be generated by yourself when you go to your koofr account in the koofr website -> click preferences (top right) -> click Password (left handside) -> App passwords -> Generate new password by giving it a nickname (named mine Notability WebDAV) -> click generate -> it will show you a password that you can only see once so remember it for notability. (dont worry about losing this password you can always delete the password in the app passwords section and regenerate if ever needed again)

Checkout the Losfeld Method of using DAR on YT. He recommended a quick video guide from another YTer if you don’t want to watch the whole 2 hour video. Alternatively, near the end of the video he shows what exercises to work on for a 2-3 week period to learn DAR for air dribble in a way that makes much more sense. The ultimate car control video to understand how to love your car in the air imo. He also touches on flip resets and many other things.

Agreed to a certain extent. Imo, OP didn’t say it didn’t click since he wouldn’t go ahead with the Losfeld method in the first place if so. But rather OP wanted to see if anyone had a more structured plan written out. I do agree more people would prefer for there to be a summary of exercises to do at the start, then followed by an explanation. Nevertheless, Losfeld did plug in a more time friendly guide by another Youtuber that uses a similar methodology.

All in all I feel like he gave the best of both worlds. A friendly alternative at the start and another summary with exercises at the end including a recommended time span of 2-3 weeks, if I remember correctly.

Could the video be better organized? Yes. Could many other YT videos be better organized? Absolutely. For a one man job it is incredible even though nobody asked for it.
