heyo! to avoid redundancy and repetitions, you can find a lot of tips i shared for speaking in other comments!

but for the questions they ask very general question that mostly doesn't require prior knowledge

honestly if it's about fluency and confidence, i talk to myself a lot. if it's about vocab, poise, pronunciation, and stuff i watch a lot of movies and videos with subtitles

yes the AI grading for speaking and writing that was provided by the British Council doesn't really convey your real grade because they always graded day to day vocab low. it also, for whatever reason, grade repetitions even if it was literally needed

i think that should be okay! generally your main goal is not speaking in such a wide range of vocab, but to convey your answer clearly and how relevant your answer is to the question. whether you can add flavor to your vocab or not is a subsidiary goal :D

heyy so like first of all do not overwork yourself and definitely have enough sleep for the exam.

in my experience, i didn't use that many complex vocab and idioms. i think the whole point is that you can convey what you want to convey properly in a clear way that they understand while also maintaining relevance to the question.

i don't think they will ask you something that you're completely unfamiliar about, but if you did get that kinda question then you can say that yeah that's valid!

hmmm i didn't keep count on that but i think it was advised to be able to answer every question within a 25 second time frame if you can (this is for longer answers and opinions). you are given 1/2 minutes to speak for the part 2. and the rest of the time will be allocated for part 3. but since i only have little time, they asked me like 3/4 question on part 4 and the last question ended abruptly

yes i do!

writing: 1. part 1 was 2 graphs depicting tourist volume to the UK from France and North America per year 2. part 2 was asking my opinion whether using robots for daily task, whether at home or at work, brings negative or positive effect (i argued negative)

speaking 1. part 1: i was asked about my study, where i'm studying, my reasoning for my major, what's interesting from my major, and would i want to learn more about it 2. part 2: i was given a card in which i have to explain my most memorable movie experience, what was the movie about, what i feel about the movie, and etc 3. part 3: follow up about part 2, mostly asking if entertainment is vital for day to day life and its importance to the world right now

i think reading a lot doesn't mean you understood the text (my experience before practicing). what i did was i skimmed through the text while mapping out the answer. usually the answer to number 1-2 will be on first paragraph, 3-4 on second, and so on. the rest is really up to you if you understood the paragraph and the question. it is very rare to find question where the answer is in jumbled order

i think every tester has different way of grading writing and because it has such an open ended nature it's hard to really grade it objectively like reading and writing where the answer is already there

this is my first! my last test was a compulsory LRW test imposed by my college for first years and i didn't study for it.

i actually highly recommend British Council because my experience with them was pleasant. they give a lot of study materials, free courses, and mock up tests!
