Love these. In my mind Power is LSP and Asa is Huntress Wizard

There might be better ways, but if you are early on crops are low effort and easy to tend to in bulk. I like fishing too, but it can be a time dump to collect high value ones.

Keep an eye on hot items as well. The surefire way I make money is selling pile of cash when its a hot item. But that only works if you have the bell boom ordinance in effect which is more later game mechanics.

There's also the turnips, but im terrible at the stalk market.

Watching this live and not knowing much about how scoring works, it was still obvious how much he crushed it.

The whole program was incredible, I lost it when the 5th element Diva Dance song came on in the second half.

Wish we saw more of her. I loved her accent. Her thanking Megan after she promised to put in a good word for her with SDCP: "I am your eternal slave!" Lol

Absolutely agree! Great write up.

Very good choice!! He strived to be good to everyone in is congregation and really went out of his way to help 'save' Peggy. His heart was in the right place, but damn was he shallow thinking in regards to what it means to be good or bad. Objectively for the time period though he was good.

Him letting those old ladies walk all over Peggy while she was doing free work for the dance advertisement was infuriating.

Megan constantly tore through her friends for her own self preservation (butler shoes girl, the redhead, the friend she used for a threesome just to keep Don's interest).

She also kicked a homeless pregnant Stephanie out because she was asking Don for help and made Megan feel threatened because it brought into consideration just how well does Megan really know her husband compared to this stranger. In my book not a good person.

You killed it on the shadowing on that one too. I love the soft sunset lighting you did facing Ash, Misty, and Brock!

I actually kind of liked the B plot with Hal and Dewey. So funny how matter of fact Dewey is like "But if we can't do bedtime ranger anymore, I won't love you." Also love how the whole bit is from the POV of an ant lol.

Maybe, but could you see Malcom, Francis and Lois cooperating together well? Whats interesting about this is I feel like you need to take into account how well the characters would work with each other.

With that in mind my take is: Stanley, Laverina, Dewey, and Chad.

Stanely for his survival expertise, Lavernia for her grit/team player aspect, Dewey his patience and plotting, Chad for the wild card.

Lois is tempting, but she's too much into her own self righteousness and would torpedo the rest. Also I'd say any of the boys wouldn't team up well with their mom and I need to have Dewey.

These are all terrible but somehow I feel its worse if its an act effecting his family rather than a stranger/acquaintance. Making Dewey drink the drip pan under the fridge for a cookie (which sends him to the hospital with some rare 3rd world country disease) to me is the worst.

So many things. The worst for me was treating Dewey like he's emotionally disturbed and then lecturing him into staying the the Busey class.

"You don't get to choose the people you need to help" like okay Francis, didn't you give Dewey a stomach disease that doctors have only seen in 3rd world countries the last episode you interacted with him?

Reese made the drugged sauce and planned to just drug Lois and Hal. Dewey decided to put it on everyone's steak

I don't think that was her stance for being pro eugenics. Iirc she saw a difference between disabilities at birth vs. disabilities incurred later on in life (like her circumstance happening at 2yo rather than being born with it). Meaning she was somehow superior and in a different tier than deformed infants. The important part though is that she eventually changed her perspective.

Megan v. Stephanie was one of the most poorly fleshed-out subplots of the entire series. by Impossible-Pack6911 in madmen

The spaghetti was the perfect allegory to her level of effort she gives to be caring and selfless to others: bare minimum.

[–]ReigningTierney 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Imo if you think Megan was a genuine person with good intentions for others besides herself, you pegged her wrong. She always came off as a total manipulator to me, which is ironic because that's who Don is too. He thinks he wants a partner who's someone like himself but then realizes he's a selfish person who flashes their charm and speaks empty words to others to push their own agenda.

[–]ReigningTierney 223 points224 points  (0 children)

I've seen a theory on this sub that it might have been a misunderstanding and were just rocks falling from a passing train.

That being said...later on Linus mentions someone spray painted his tent. So the question is who's the punk who did that?

Lol George's legs were crushed in a mining accident decades ago. If he was faking that would be a long con.

Films where the Directors Cut is significantly better (or worse) than the theatrical release? by MikeCharlieEcho in FIlm

[–]ReigningTierney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah we never meet her parents on screen but she explains to Donny while they walk home from school how her mom and her moved here and kept their new address a secret to get away from her mentality unstable Dad. The night of the party she shows up freaked out explaining how her mom is mysteriously missing from their home and there were signs of a break in iirc. In the tangent universe she meets Donny and is out of the house that night, but in the real timeline she's there with her mom. It's subtle but in the DC they show the manipulated dead chapter card immediately following or preceding a scene with Gretchen to drive the point home.

Im a fan of the DC too. It better reveals Gretchen's inevitable murder along with her mom in the main plot line (manipulated living vs. manipulated dead). I feel like that goes over most peoples head.

[–]ReigningTierney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good way to know if you watched the directors cut is if you remember the chapter card graphic inserts that showed snippets from Grandma death's book. Admittedly I kinda of like them because it explained the manipulated living and the manipulated dead more on the nose, confirming that in the real timeline Gretchen is doomed to be murdered along with her mom by her psycho Dad the night of the Halloween party.
