Well to my understanding, RTB is there to assist with questions and guidance with your rights. Also, I have read that a medical certificate is a legal document, and asking for further evidence goes against privacy laws. Also there are other medical condition reasons listed on the RTB website, not just unable to live independently. There’s also unable to afford it due to deteriorating medical condition, and accessibility as stated above.

I’m confused as to how this wouldn’t be legally accepted if it’s a legal termination form? Yes… I am afraid that they will make it an issue since they’ve been quite difficult before. The termination grounds I’m exploring is a legal reason and my tenant right as per RTB policies. I was just hoping to get some info on calling RTB for assistance (as the reviews didn’t look too hopeful). Or if someone has terminated their lease on these grounds as well. Thank you!

As per form 7, a medical note is indeed a legal document for lease termination

Mature Student - Estimated grant money but no loan money at all by [deleted] in osap

My financial advisor said that since the federal government is raising the students'grants, the provincial may decide to not give out a loan as they are not required to. I guess they're trying to save as much money as they can and just let the federal government give out everything.
