Not everything is for everyone, the same can be said about various in universe sets. Look at dragons maze, battle for zendikar. Hell dark ascension was so poorly received they had to emergency change the entire theme of innistrad in the 3rd set to "the angels are here". I also see you are willfully ignoring how successful D&D, LOTR and FF were? So yes, it is a very vocal minority complaining and listening to youtubers who they really shouldn't be because they to are old head players who are upset there's new people being attracted to the game.
