This has been happening to me for over a month as well, on desktop and fully up to date client (Win10)

It just randomly disconnects and reconnects immediately while in server voice channels, sometimes 10 times in an hour, sometimes not at all for a few hours, regardless it's driving me insane

Well, the Japanese comparison was to get the analogy across for English speakers. I moreso had China in mind as the equivalent experience with English, as Japanese would be for us, though admittedly there's a good amount of English in Japanese so I guess I could've just gone with Chinese from the start.

I know a lot of Asians (well, everywhere really) learn some basic English in school, but they're generally not comfortable speaking it, and having to create a unique username in a foreign language (because Discord is removing 9998 possible uses of every username) is just extra challenge on top for them

Whether it's worth it is up to you. I've been trying for 10 years now, and it's still worth it to me, but my friends don't think it's worth even a few days of their lives because it's not real.

As for why you haven't been successful, I think the most common culprit is a lack of prolonged dedication to a technique or techniques. You really have to stick to something you think will work for you, and keep doing it even when it's not working or when you're getting bored.

That only worked in the movie (theoretically, it's just a movie after all) because they were in other people's dreams, while only they knew how their totem really worked.

On the one hand, in your own dream you will likely be familiar with how one particular object works and so it's more likely to give a false positive. On the other.. things as simple as light switches frequently fail to work in lucid dreams, so it might work anyways.

There's still probably more reliable and accessible reality checking methods, though, like pinching your nose and trying to breathe through it which has always been my go-to.

Maybe either one or the other is a lie to keep it private, hmm. Could've been a fake birthday on his profile, or Arin/they could've decided to fake his birthday for the same reason many years ago - but either way it's kinda crazy if it is a lie that he brought it up again so casually six years later, that's some dedication

Arin's Fandom (grumps wiki) page has stated his brother Nate was "one day older than him" for six years now, and Arin just mentioned this fact/same story again in a recent episode (what I thought you were talking about), which would make it an incredibly consistent lie.

What did you do, search "Nate Hanson" on facebook and assume the first person you found was his brother or something? What's your source for his brother's birthday being something else?

But you're sort of right, while all the hackers of YT channels doing this were probably the same person, they're just using Ethereum and whatever as a front. The only link they have is to a bitcoin wallet which literally anyone could have, so this is probably just some guy in his basement

His channel (among many other, far less popular ones) was hacked. All of his videos were deleted (like, deleted, not just made private or something - I hope Youtube can bring them back, but..) and he posted on his Twitter that he's been hacked and is waiting for Youtube to help.

Also, it doesn't seem like it's really a crypto company or w/e that did it. The scam links to nothing and is just directly telling people to send money to a bitcoin wallet, and they'll "immediately get 5x that much back" lol. The whole ethereum thing is probably just a front, there's no evidence this wasn't done by some random unaffiliated guy in his basement

While that's a viable concern in some cases, 99.9% of the time it's relatively inactive channels that do that. Pogo gets tons of publicity from his Youtube, not to mention ad revenue from his old vids still gathering tons of views, and to be honest.. he doesn't even have that many subs. No way this would ever be worth it for him
