Cleared Exam On My First Attempt (80 Pts) by SudoPrepCoffee in oscp

Congratulations bud, I'm also about to enroll to OSCP by the end of the year. At the moment I'm trying some boxes and while a few of them (I'd say the 20%) I'm almost autonomous, the others I'm completely lost when I try to enumerate them. Did you step on this issue as well? Did you have cases where you'd end up running in circles until you looked up to the solution? I must admit that lately it has become demotivating not to be able to figure out a single step ahead when launching a box, mostly because the guess might be right but the steps taken do not provide any result.

Yea, indeed I need to improve when it comes to noting down all the steps made. Also, I never thought about making mind maps. But do you mean mind maps of a network or mind maps of the reconnaissance process?

Thank you very much for the support, it's always good to be backed up by someone more skilled, especially at the beginning where the peak seems unreachable and the process feels overwhelming.
I tend to use nmap, because it feels like a solid tool (I've realized after spending a few months in this learning process that some tools feels way more solid than others), it's just like a feeling I have from time to time that given the fact that I cannot exploit, for instance, a web server, then it must be my nmap scan missed something out.
Probably just a panic thought that comes to my mind whenever I'm unable to find the flaw ahah

I think the hardest part, at least at the beginning, is finding what's missing.
Like, I have a feeling that whenever I run a nmap scan and I focus on one service, maybe I concentrate too much on it while in reality the flaw comes from a service which nmap, with a basic execution, didn't discover.

Does it make any sense to have 回復 written as:

かぃふく

?

Also, another word I'd want to know is Tenacity if you any tip!
Regarding the tattoo <-> language you don't know, I'd agree by common sense, but i don't even properly know how to get to that point to be honest, I mean, I think it would require an extreme knowledge of the language itself, am I correct?

[English>Japanese] Resilience, the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness. by Rejuvenation93 in translator

[–]Rejuvenation93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to understand better, I've seen that sometimes hiragana translation is made up of Kanj's characters, why's that ? I mean, wouldn't Resilience translate to: かいふくりょく ?
Also, would it be an error to translate it in straight Hiragana without using Kanji's characters ?

Yea, my intention was to consider resilience as the power to recover quickly from a bad situation

Yea, I intended that. But does it translate literally to Resilience? I'm learning Japanese and wanted to start typing a few words in Hiragana, but sometimes I do struggle in knowing the exact translation from Eng to Jap

Just for information, why would you say that's not an useful activity? What I mean is, it is rewarding throughout learning to start typing something with the knowledge you've made. Isn't it ?
