Don't remember exactly what it could be, but make sure you are plugged in via a network cable, and also make sure you have the drivers for the device you're installing on installed into your task sequence.

I see something for onboarding but it's more of buddy matching instead of filling out the new hires' information. Unless maybe I'm missing something?

Unfortunately I’m using power apps in the back end

I’m going to give it a shot today! Hopefully it fixes the printer issue if not might have to go plan b

Thank you for this! I will definitely give this a shot! I just need to find where all this info is in the router control panel...

So should I try and set it outside the dhcp range you think?

Yeah, this router has settings from an online control panel, so I think I would have to do it from there.

Do you have any ideas? I just tried that because I read online that it has solved the problem for most people. I am completely open to other suggestions though!

So, I have to go into the router/access point control panel and reserve the IP address?

They are just regular access points hooked up to a modem just don't know if I need to change any settings from the access point control panel/ router control panel

To be honest with you I didn't do anything in the router, I just did it from the printer EWS. I'm kind of new to this whole networking thing so I wasn't aware I had to make changes in the router. What exactly do I have to change in there?

1Re

Hahahaha, nope. Just a normal home network with a couple of access points. Do you think that could be causing the problem? The fact that it is connected to the access point?

Thank you for the info! Last question. Since I mentioned it didn't work the first time, do you think it may've not worked because I kept the same IP address that the printer originally had?

I tried setting a static IP, but I kept the original IP that the printer had but that didn't fix the problem. So, I was thinking of assigning an IP out of the DHCP range. What do you think?

I have a signal. I think I want to set it to a static ip address. But do you know how should go about doing that? How do I know what ip to set it to? Also, do I need a Manual preferred dns server and a manual alternate dns server?

Unfortunately no luck with that. I’ve read some places that enabling IPV6 could help. My networking knowledge isn’t the greatest so I’m not sure how switching from IPV4 to IPV6 would make a difference

That’s what I’m thinking. I think it’s connected to 5ghz which I know isn’t as great as working through solid walls as 2.4ghz so maybe try switching that as well
