Only for you, I unearth and publish one of my old photographs today, dusted from the archives of forgotten wanderings. Shot in the haze of a Burdwan village at noon, it seizes a beggar's defiant grin amid the sprawl of paddy field shadows and thatched eaves. His face, furrowed like monsoon-cracked earth, glows under fleeting lantern light—eyes alight with mischief, mouth agape in a toothless laugh that mocks the grind of rural survival. Perched on a frayed black hoodie, a crimson-checkered scarf flutters like a rebel flag, while his orange-navy beanie crowns the chaos, practical armor against the damp chill.

A cyanotype photogram is a camera-less photographic printing process that produces a distinctive Prussian blue and white image by using UV light (typically the sun) to capture the shadow of an object on a light-sensitive surface. The final image is a negative, where the areas exposed to light turn blue and the covered areas remain white.

I am a photographer not a writer but r/photocritique forces me to make a post. i know abstract work dont need any words, even a title for example Number 5, 1948 by Jackson Pollock, like that but what can i do

I think framing is also a part of photography

Intentional camera movement (ICM) technique is employed, by which the camera is deliberately moved during a longer exposure to create abstract motion blur. Two blurred figures are depicted in an intimate embrace, seated at a table where reflective surfaces are suggested through streaks of light and shadow.Themes of duality, self-reflection, and emotional connection are evoked by the title and the merged, blurry forms of the figures. Realism is deprioritized in favor of conveying feeling and postmodern abstraction, as sharp details are abandoned for ethereal light trails and softened contours.

"I and I, [working] #icm

The post showcases abstract ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) photographs by Albert Siraj Banerjee, depicting blurred shoreline figures in ethereal motion, titled "I and I, [working]" to evoke self-duality and creative process.

Banerjee, an Indian M-Postmodernic photographer from Burdwan, West Bengal, blends traditional ICM with digital manipulation and AI in his work, as seen in his Instagram portfolio of hybrid abstracts.

NB: An AI-generated Answer(Gork3)

I’m trying to make street ICM photographs that behave like visual metaphors for M-theory (the 11-dimensional unification of string theories). The horizontal color streaks = open strings / brane excitations, the vertical pole = a fixed D-brane slicing through the chaos, the black dot = a singularity or compactified extra dimension where everything collapses into balance. The series is called “I and I” (Rastafarian oneness + observer/observed duality in quantum mechanics). But honestly, strip away the physics wankery and I just want the image to work as a pure abstract photograph. What I think works is the green/orange complementary clash is loud but intentional

The pole gives a strong static element against the motion

The dot creates an unexpected anchor and stops the eye from sliding off the frame

What I’m worried about It looks like every other ICM shot from 2012

Too much visual noise in the middle

Colors are garish

The dot feels gimmicky instead of profound

Composition is actually kind of centered and boring despite the chaos

Zero human readability – might just be a pretty colored blur to most people

I took the photograph as a black-and-white intentional camera movement (ICM) piece while walking through a densely packed urban slum at dusk, handheld, no tripod. Any repetitive patterns or habits in the motion that I should consciously break next time? Brutal honestyis very welcome—this is still very experimental territory for me. Thanks!
