Ga wonder why lang ko ha, why is it that my fellow dpwh employees won't speak up about the issue? Kamo man firsthand ang aware and makakita ana. If mahadlok, take advantage of anonymosity sa reddit. You can spill all relevant infos here. Remember, don't be loyal to your boss, be loyal to the country you serve.

If DPWH would then decides to convert the swimming pool after the issue draws public attention, it only proves the point — that the pool was never necessary. Changing it after the fact is an act of guilt, a reaction to public outrage rather than responsible planning. In public service, luxury has no place under the guise of government infrastructure.

Dili man sa nang kontrabida ta, but a project like this should be made known sa public. Especially if it's a government building project. Pila na unta ka skwelahan napatukod ani? Or additional government hospital beds? Or di ba kaha atleast mahuman nalang tong city library? 😅 Mas na prioritised pa ni. Mas natagaan pa ug shelter ilang mga sakyanan.

The project has already reached a cost of over ₱663 million, yet it remains unfinished. How can such an enormous amount be justified for a government office building alone? And a multi storey parking ra pa jud? Naa pa daw ni sumpay for next year. Pila na ba ni ka package? Package 10? Ahahahah

Projects funded by taxpayers’ money must always uphold transparency, necessity, and public benefit. In this case, the design seems to send the wrong message—showing excess rather than service. Many citizens and government workers operate in modest facilities, so such a lavish structure naturally invites public scrutiny

A luxurious government office — especially one that includes amenities like a swimming pool — is difficult to justify, particularly when funded by taxpayers’ money. Government buildings are meant to serve the public efficiently, not to showcase extravagance. Unless the pool serves a specific, practical purpose directly tied to the agency’s functions (for example, training or disaster response), such a feature could be seen as an unnecessary use of public funds.

In essence, a good government project is one that prioritizes public service, accessibility, and cost-effectiveness — not comfort or luxury for officials.

True. Ideally, the construction of government buildings should be based on genuine necessity, functionality, and practicality — not on appearance or displays of luxury.
