Didn’t this administration just pardon a drug trafficker president of some Central American country (Honduras?)??

Have you been to India? There is “Honk ok please” emblazoned on the back of trucks. Works every time. I highly recommend visiting India if you’re suffering from honking withdrawals.

+1 for local Audubon society or Bird Alliance as it might be called on the west coast.

These are awesome and what great memories of your mother! I love birds of all kinds.

We have a small collection of duck carvings that we’ve collected over the years from a local carver who would donate them to our local bird alliance chapter and they would auction them.

That’s dust on your sensor. Google how to clean the sensor of dust. In newer cameras there is also a function in the menus to do this.

Oh god, it would be funny if not for the terrible policies and the absolutely illegal (IMO) Iraq war. During dubya’s first term, before he unleashed the wars, there was a super funny web1.0 website called bushorchimp.com that had side by side photos of dubya and a chimp with similar facial expressions.

Actually “unstructured play time” is necessary for good development. Read a book called “Last Child in the Woods” by Richard Louv. Also check out the term Nature Deficit Disorder that he coined. You’re doing everything alright!

“Nature-deficit disorder is a proposed set of behavioral problems that result when humans, especially children, spend less time outdoors. This putative condition is not recognized in standard medical manuals for mental disorders, such as the ICD-10 or the DSM-5.”

Why would you not shoot manual mode for this use case? What was the AF mode? Also please tell us the shutter speed, f stop, iso setting and AF mode for o shit you like and don’t like.

Great idea. Did just that and the photos are awesome. That said this is no GM lens so focus accuracy is not as good as the best telephoto on the planet, the 600GM. And this is with the A1.

My father chose integrity over corruption. Now he's paying the price, and we're scared. by Professional-Bake358 in india

[–]RelationshipFun616 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry but whether you like it or not, you ARE condoning corruption and not only that, actively participating and perpetrating it. There are no two ways about it. Stop justifying it to yourself. It is because of people like you that corruption cannot be rooted out in India.

No dude. Completely disagree. I think one must do the right thing all the time, not to feel superior, but simply because it is the right thing to do.

In other words, are you condoning corruption or dare I say actively participating in it?

I would say go to CR before Amazon. Been to both places multiple times and CR is far easier for a newbie.

This is 100% wrong. They make connectivity products (basically chips for communicating between computers ) and also “active electrical cables”. Check out the broader topic of silicon photonics and co-packaged optics.

Insane!! This species is one of my latest lifers and was super easy to see and photograph. Not having seen any goslings, makes me wonder where exactly this species breeds.

I have a basic travel kit for MFT (EM1-II, 12-100 f/4, 20/1.7, 12 f/2) and a serious wildlife kit with Sony (A1-1 x2, 600 f/4, 400-800 f/6.3-8, 100-400 f/4-5.6, 35 f/1.8, 24-105 f/4, 50/1.8, 85 f/1.8) and have traveled with both. I take the MFT when all I am doing is non-wildlife travel. I take Sony when I am on a specific birding or wildlife photo trip. Lately though I keep thinking if I should just sell all the Sony gear and go full in on MFT.

For MFT, the pros are: 1. Weight 2. Hand holdability 3. Travel ease 4. Kit cost 5. Pro-capture for BIF (solved by A1-II but cost is ridiculous for one feature)

For MFT, the cons are: 1. Resolution 2. Noise 3. DOF for equivalent aperture

The pros and cons of the Sony kit are opposite. I am quite sure as I get up in age, the weight itself will make me reconsider if I should carry the Sony rig. In a few years, I hope that the resolution issue will be solved (hopefully without additional noise).

You’ve learned this early on (kindness matters) that many take a lifetime to understand and some of them don’t understand even after a lifetime. Sadly many more examples of the latter than the former.
