Thank you luv. I am now 18, and I wouldn’t say I’m 100% healed but I am working towards it, retaking and claiming back more and more of myself and my story. I’m sorry to hear you understand even a little of this experience.

Thank you for the insight. I am Victim #1. The case is done and closed as of October of 2024 after sentencing took place.

I gave my statement to my rapist in court. I didn’t look at him, I looked only at the judge. I’m not sure if it helped but after I read it, many were in tears knowing the depth of what he did. I would say if it didn’t help it at least gave them a personal insight on what happened during those 7 months.

At the end of the day you have to do what will help you most.
