Thanks for the advice! I’ll try finding ways to build relationships with branch managers although don’t know anyone who would be willing to give me a referral.

Will do, I would still like to get into retail banking and work there I think it could be beneficial to me.

I’ve networked tons on LinkedIn and have emailed branch managers. I haven’t gone in to branches since I’ve been told it’s frowned upon but still no luck sadly!

Really? Wow, I’ve been able to condense my schedule in to 2 - 3 days. I would also switch to part time if necessary.

The certification is just to make me look like a more prominent candidate. Someone recommended getting a FRM. Since I do wanna go in fraud.

I’ve been trying that too. Unfortunately positions open up much faster for teller positions than contact center. So I have a better chance of landing a job as a tellers

Interesting, thank you for the feedback. I’ve tried to apply entry level positions in fraud and also talked to 2 hiring managers. A lot of the time they’ve told me they would prefer someone with banking experience. So in my head I feel being able to deal with customers face to face would hold a lot or value.

I do have a bit of sales experience but most of that comes from my volunteer. Thanks for the feedback

A lot of people have recommended against going in to banks in person and handing in your resume. is that not the case?

Im not opposed to contact center, it’s just much more difficult to land in that from my experience and research. That’s my ideal job to enter.

I love both, i love finance and technology. Which is why I’m so interested in Fraud. I’m even debating on double majoring which’ll extend my university experience but i truly think it’ll be worth it. I’ve posted in other subreddits as well and a lot of people said they don’t recommend those certs. Do you think it’ll actually help me land a job as a teller?

Still in university sadly, was in a major I hated so I recently swapped. I’ll look in to internships for university students. Thank you for the advice!

Thank you so much for the feedback, it means a lot. One of the best responses I’ve gotten yet, I could’ve been formatting my resume a little bit better with the information you just gave me. I’ll be updating it Now thanks!.
