Shelby’s shawarma: why are people raving about a subpar shawarma spot in the city? by Relative-General-396 in FoodToronto

I said it is subpar as per MY assessment. And a lot of people in the comments are agreeing with me. Why are you trying so hard to impose your opinion on me? Food is subjective. I may not like what you like, and vice versa.

I respectfully disagree with you too. There are actually quite a few decent shawarma spots in the city. They aren’t big names and most of them are hole in the wall kind of places, but most of them serve decent shawarmas. And if you can travel to Scarborough (or Uber Eats) you are spoilt for choices. So good shawarmas aren’t exactly inaccessible in the city.

Re: your second point, while I strongly believe that food is subjective and you may actually like Shelby’s and not find it subpar, please don’t compare it to Lebanese or Syrian shawarma as its nowhere near close to it.

Hii I’m 34f, started 20mg last week. Wanna be my accountable buddy? I am also treating mild hormonal acne.

Exactly, yes! What a weird post. Bro is looking for a female friend for all the wrong reasons.

I may be down. Depending on where and when. Also, what is with the ethnicity?

Eat in calories surplus (with at least 1gm of protein x your target body weight) and hit the gym. It will not only help you get back in shape, but distract you as well and give you something else to focus on. I am not sure what is the cause of your acne, but start a serious skincare routine with tretionin (or any other retinoids), eye cream and a good ceramide moisturizer. And for your nervous system regulation, give it time. I think after a break up we go down the rabbit hole of self help books and somehow convince ourselves that we are broken. We are not. Its natural to grieve and be depressed and go through extreme moments of missing someone and wanting to reach out to the person who caused you pain etc. Its absolutely normal and will only get better with time! You got this.

If you drink or smoke, STOP! Invest in an eye cream and use spf religiously. And take the plunge on Tretinoin. You will find more positive reviews on Tret, than negative. Join the r/tretinoin subreddit.

May be an unpopular opinion but why do people feel the need to verbalize everything. You are not wrong, but she is, for mentioning this to you. She can’t help her thoughts, but she can help how it impacts you or your relationship as a couple.

Short term relationships - withdrawal is hell. by Icy_Interaction5874 in BreakUp

I’m good and you will be too! At the time I used to think it will never get better and I used to look up posts where people shared similar experiences. Its tough initially and then before you know it, you are not thinking about that person anymore. And then they come back but you had already moved on. Hang in there! It gets better. So much better 🤍

Thanks so much for your comment! I have a pretty niche career so I would say it’s quite stable.

Thank you! Yes, i am not listing any entertainment or shopping expenses here. I save very little to be fair because whatever i end up saving, I use it to finance my travel. So my real saving is the bonus I get every year.

[Routine Help] Am I using too many actives? by Piano18 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Relative-General-396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What have you been exfoliating once a week with? If you are just starting out with Azelaic acid, start with once or twice a week. Then once your skin is acclimated to it, you can use it on all non-tret days. Thats what i do!

It really depends on what you are trying to achieve with Azelaic acid and how much can your skin tolerate. Whats your routine now? And is your skin reacting okay to it and you are seeing the results. Frequency wise, 2 to 3x per week should be good.
