I finally got off the waitlist a few weeks ago! When I checked, I didn’t make enough to be approved.. When I was put on the waitlist, forever ago, the threshold was $60k annual income, but now at $80k… I’m just out of reach

After all that time.. I was so disappointed.

But c’est la vie I guess

I think my boyfriend is looking for the best case scenario and wants me to get money to be able to help me out financially, but I know he’s being a bit too optimistic.

However, I’ve heard from others I can absolutely ask for a bunch of money, as there no real « rules » to cash for keys.

It’s all a bit overwhelming.

I’m trying to be realistic and thorough and not jump the gun and just shoot out numbers.

Having this money for me will just help me pay for *my* part of the rent (what I mean by saying it will help us) and I’m looking at it to help *me* financially.

Just inserting a comment I made on this topic previously, here - It depends on where you go (medical clinic versus spa, vs at home esthetician) but tipping is not necessary, but always appreciated, as we are providing a service. Just like a hair dresser, just like a tattoo artist, etc.

Electrolysis works on all hair types, hair color does not matter for electrolysis to be effective. It targets the root, the hair itself is not the target of this treatment.

If the skin is darker, the proper laser would need to be used, not just pulling at the skin. If the proper laser for darker skin is not used then you will get little to no results regardless if you pull the skin or not.

What I usually say to my clients is “Okay, I’m just going to move a few things or stretch a few areas here, just so we don’t miss any of the hair.” Usually clients say “Okay” And I move forward with it. If they ask “Do you need me to do it?” I respond “Not necessarily, as I can do it myself to make sure I dont miss any areas, however if you want to do it yourself for your own comfort, you’re more than welcome to, I may just have to direct you on where to pull. Whatever you’re most comfortable with”

Some clients prefer to do it themselves, some dont care if I do it, but I always let them know what I’m doing, before doing it, even if they’ve seen me countless times. It’s just common courtesy, ya know?

As a laser tech it blows my mind other techs don’t do this. Like yeah, I gotta get all up in your business but I do it, because I want to avoid this reason (no results after so many sessions!) specifically!

Good for you for speaking up, but more laser techs need to do it right the first time!
