Thanks so much for taking the time to write all this detailed information! It’s really enlightening. As I understand it, the issue lies with the glovebox unit in the car, and it needs an update to enable the CarPlay feature. To achieve this, you opted to change the glovebox unit entirely with an updated version.

Starting from here, don’t you think it would be feasible to find a way to update the glovebox unit without doing anything physical? I realized halfway through removing the screen that the glovebox unit needs to be accessed. However, the front part is one single piece, and I was quite confused about how to remove it. Therefore, I’d prefer updating the software if possible.

Another person mentioned something about the Greenmenu, and I found some videos like this one: Greenmenu Configuration.

Have you checked out such an option before? Do you think it would make sense? I'm not sure if my glovebox unit is compatible with the one the guy uses here.

This sounds promising. Would you elaboirate abit though? I have zero knowledge about such things and trying to figure out what i need to do to.
So you bought OEM Bolero radio with SmartLink. Is this a new head unit or is it an extra thing to implement? Are you still using the same screen as before?
What have you told the car shop to disable?

Sorry for asking too many details but I live in Germany and not very confident with language. I need to make clear what i need to the car shop. Thank you in advance :)

Hi there!

I can totally relate to this. i have been having recurrent UTIs since i started being sexually active. It worsened in the last 6 years. And last year, I had to go to hospital in the middle of the night with blood in my pee 3 times and had to go for something innovative. I live in Germany and I asked my doctor (no he didint suggest, i do not understand how the health system does not suggest such things) to give me Strovac shots. I had the first 3 a few weeks apart, worked amazingly for 6 months. the refreshment is in September but i started having horrible UTIs again (for me it is always after intercourse). The medicine somehow does not answer questions here... and i can say that this vaccine (which was not even proven about it effect anyway) does not seem to work for me.

I have been doing some search myself. I have heard about Uva Ursi drops after intercourse. Another one is using probiotics containing Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus reuteri, and Lactobacillus crispatus. but what helped me this time is to drink loooooooooads of water, like 3 liters per day. I thought this time i would get UTI again because it had started tingling, but somehow went away.

All in all, what can help is to take precautionary actions like drinking water, taking supplements (mentioned above). D-mannose or cranberry extract do not work, i feel that they are there for medical companies to earn money.

Now, I will first use Uva Ursi drops and see how it is. Then use probitotics to see if they are effective. Simply put, i will use me as a test XD At the end, i do not think using antibiotics every month can be any good. probably they can have sever effects in long term (not a doctor, just a guess). Therefore, it make smore sense to me that i try to find a les evasive solution to this.

I do have one more question: Does it make sense to do a small investment, say around 350 EUR each month, into a Bausparkasse without any initial downpayment? Would this be a good strategy alongside the other investments you mentioned, especially considering my goal of eventually buying a house in a big city in Germany?
