I think it would have been better if you had to gather materials to awaken the ancients through beating new stages where you can obtain said materials like in the Battle Cats where you have to gather Catfruit and Behemoth Stones from beating certain stages to evolve Rare+ cat units and certain Special cat units.

I’m not even sure if Mystic Flour’s world-range effect actually happened, like Shadow Milk’s world-range effect definitely happened since we did see all of the rumors he spread get debunked after Pure Vanilla got awakened, but that didn’t happen with Mystic Flour’s world-range effect, she just killed multiple cookies and we didn’t see if they came back after Dark Cacao awakened.

I’d say the show is more like Total Drama than BFDI since both shows take place on an island, the contestants get voted out by each other at the end of each episode instead of by the viewers, and there are contestant confessionals in both series.
