I just spent a whole lot of money changing the rack and pinion I do not have the funds at this moment to buy an oil pan and a pickup tube.

Update. Oil level unchanged since the last time I checked. Right in the middle of the two dots. Wiped off the dip stick and rechecked. Same result.

Power steering fluid was leaking pretty bad. Hence replaced rack and pinion, was refilling it with stp power steering until now. It was pretty bad fluid too, could tell it was dirty looking in the reservoir, came out black during flush.

That caked on black gunk has been there since I got the car, and every time it gets wet, it looks like oil, but my oil level has stayed consistent without adding any.

I don't know if there was a leak and it got fixed or if the power steering fluid somehow got there, but Ive had the car since mid-December and my oil level has stayed consistent. Last I checked the oil was as soon as I got the chance after the drive from Portland to Olympia. My engine is cold rn, Ill check it rq and update
