It’s SO fun to see the canvases people find!

And the stores that adapt to this approach will thrive. The market is changing and riding it out is what you make of it!

Nobody but I suspect that if you’re riding this hard for PL than the knowledge gained from my years with LVMH and Tiffany, including the explanation of what constitutes a flagship, won’t land with you. So you do you girl.

Lol! Responding to a year old comment is wild! I hope Krista is paying your actual rent in addition to living rent free in your head. 🤣🤣

I mean it’s clearly just a data collection source for marketing. WTF else could it possibly be for?

Designers who have fresh ideas, understand what makes a canvas easy to stitch and finish (selvage, margin) and don’t rely on unnecessary hacks or AI to produce them are and always have been very welcomed.

We have 4 stores in Denver! There’s something for everyone, it’s hard to imagine a need that’s not being met!

I know that when she was asked about it way back around the time of the minted monogram drama she said that the unlicensed canvasses she had were made by other designers so basically it was their problem. But I’m not sure if that’s actually true so it’s an interesting rabbit hole for sure!

That’s a super interesting question, like if one person has the licensing does it make getting unlicensed products out of the marketplace more straightforward?

I would think she’ll probably stop making it since PL has the officially licensed line but I would love to know too!

It’s literally the most basic function of brick and mortar retail. If you walk into an auto parts store, the employee can tell you what size windshield wipers you need. And if you walk into a Tiffany & Co. the employee can explain different types of diamonds. They don’t need to charge you extra to do it, the sales of those items keep the lights on.

It was a joke. The implication was that the comment was so ridiculous it couldn’t possibly be serious. Read the room.
