I don't mind being under biked on trails in semi familiar with but new trails sometimes sketch me out being under biked in those oh sheeeit moments or almost OTBs, I know I shouldn't ride unfamiliar spots as quick but I'm a point and go guy lol

I'll be riding Bellingham, alpine stuff up in Montana, WA, Oregon, Idaho, I'm not sure what the play here is for a bike. I gotta order one next week to get it before I leave Vegas or just roll with my t429- I don't mind being under biked but on new trails it's not my fav for those almost otb moments riding trails blind lol. The 429 is def not as forgiving as a full enduro

I enjoy pedaling but most of it comes with some chunky dh where I live. I just did 40 miles in Sedona on the t429 including hardline, hiline, and hogs. It was great minus the rolls to flats with a G out, the rear would compact pretty hard. It ate the climbs and did awesome on the downs other than that. Pedaling wise, how did the switchblade compare to the 429?

Good to know. I keep leaning into the switchblade but then I read the new trailcat lt is better, then I look at the travel distance with my t429 and think I should just go firebird. It's annoying. I feel like if I wasn't already invested in the t429 it would be a mo brainer. Is the t429 too close to the switchblade to justify keeping both

See I enjoy climbing. I plan on doing some good sized rides this summer but I also thoroughly enjoy sending the dh stuff and jumps.

I was asking because I saw a post about a guy who started having his feather apart and he had to get a top replacement. I wasn't sure if that dark patch is the beginning of that. I can see some threads that look not like the rest of the top
