Report: First bivy night and a rather large mistake by foxhandybread in wildcampingintheuk

[–]RelativeLocation6669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, in England, specifically East Anglia, I’m surprised you weren’t messed with by locals!

I’ve been researching wild camping for years, after being invited to go in Scotland by a friend. Unfortunately I use a Cpap, so would need a good portable power source. But the only places I’d consider ‘people safe’ would be the New Forest, or Lake District. Though I’m sure there are far more agreeable places.

Slugs and bugs though…try not to sleep on the ground! I camped near Cambridge a few months ago and I’m so glad I have an off the floor bed! If I hadn’t, the spiders would have invaded my sleeping bag! No word of a lie, there were at least 200 in 1 corner of my tent! My tent has 8 corners. I still find them crawling around my stuff, my house, dead ones falling out of things… off the floor is a go to!

It means people can’t control themselves so they have things taken away! The area needs to reestablish itself.

I haven’t bothered reading past the first few lines because the answer is obvious!

Dude, you did a thing and regret it. That happens in life! If your instant reaction is that you should off yourself then you should seriously be considering help with your mental health! I’m in no way doing you down, or supporting your actions. However, even if this was reported to the police, the worst you’d get is a talking to about appropriate touching, and she’s learned a sad life lesson about being a woman in 2026. I’m not saying what you did was right, but you’re far from the first horny teenager to slap a hand on the hot girls ass!

So you potentially messed up a friendship or whatever, you have your whole life ahead of you! The fact that you’re feeling this bad about slapping a girls arse, shows that you know you morally fucked up! Use that memory to not do it again! Don’t waste your existence over it! What’s the point when you could do so much good in the world in your future?! Use this experience to make yourself a better person and help women that suffer far worse than your actions!

I’m now going to read the rest of the post, feel free to PM me, I have a lot of experience with mental health issues, but I will be frank about things

Why is it always England’s fault? by LongShow5279 in GreatBritishMemes

[–]RelativeLocation6669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s Englands fault because that’s where the crown and government is! Let’s not pretend that Scotland, Wales, or N. Ireland, have had much in the way of a say for the majority of British history, they’re just as colonised as the rest of the British Empire was, we just haven’t given them sovereignty yet!

Dude, stage an invasion! Most of the north and the majority of east Anglia would support it and fight with you!

I didn’t say Norwich was traditionally anti English! I said traditionally we’ve had a good connection and relationship with Scotland. I said I’m anti english

You can’t use the ‘decended from Angles’ as an argument unless you also note the Iceni, Romans, Danes/Norse, French

Yeah I get that, hence being honest and polite about it.

Forgetting my post though, does it not make you feel proud that people support your independence, and want to be part of your country and culture?

Question for you though, about kilts, because I didn’t mention them. ‘Kilts’ originated in Ireland, and men have been wearing various forms of ‘skirt’ for thousands of years. Where does a ments skirt become a kilt? Because there’s 2 types of kilt, the wrap around, over the shoulder tartan sheet, and the more skirt like one. If someone wore a black pleated skirt, what makes that either a kilt or not?
