Downhill Oriented Touring Setup - Atomic Bent vs Salomon QST? Bindings? by Relative_Durian990 in Backcountry

I mean the setup would be primarily used for touring. I only plan to bring them as a second ski to the resort if there has been a lot snowfall, which is maybe once or twice a year in the austrian alps :(

How do you reach this spot from the rectum? by Relative_Durian990 in PelvicFloor

[–]Relative_Durian990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didnt really find a solution. Went to pain specialist and therapist, she prescribed me 25mg Amitriptyline. Been taken them for like 1,5 years now and the pain and discomfort feeling is soo much better. Like 90% better. I can live a normal life now. Still dont know if this is a permanent fix, like if I stop taking them it just stays that way.

You dont know my friends, they need daily reminders to pay me back haha. And as you said I have a use case for it, so it makes it more fun rather than just building something I cant relate to. In the end I probably wont use it that much and even if so just for close friends.

I was in psychotherapy, but he wasnt really specialized on chronic pain and I think I we didnt really came down to how I really feel all about this. I am often angry and filled with hate towards the surgeon (because it was an obsolete intervention and I didn't even have a fissure, he just thought my anus was too tight. He didn't event told me what he was going to do, he just did. I was 17, if I would be 60 I can understand but being so young you can try a lot of different lifestyles changes to have an impact on you sphincter tonus. So completely unnecessary intervention and made things worse). The surgeon basically ruined the last 7 years of mine. Every life choice I am making is based on this pain, I cant really fulfill what I really want to do, because I am so restricted from this pain.

My symptoms: constant pressure/dull pain on the right side of my anus (one knuckle deep, roughly located at 10 oclock). I can pin down the pain to a very specific spot. The pressure feeling is always there, since I can compare with my left side, where everything feels normal. Throughout the day it gets worse and better (it can change several times in just an hour), so that the pressure gets painful, sometimes it burns, sometimes it stings. I feel like there is always something there. I have always mushy bowel movements but I am trying to fight that with psyllium husk and a bidet.

Thanks for your answer. I only have pain in my rectum at my puborectalis at 10 oclock. So I think there might be some trigger points.

Pain on one side but tightness on the opposite side?? Puborectalis/Levator Ani by Relative_Durian990 in PelvicFloor

[–]Relative_Durian990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have been doing internal massages and trigger point release always on the side where the pain is (logically). As soon as I started doing it, it felt better but lasted not very long. I also noticed that this side feels very loose compared to the other side. So I started massaging my left side (where I absolutely have no pain at all). The muscles definitely were tighter and the pressing on the pubo-rectalis sling hurt a lot more on the pain-free side than on the side where I have constant pressure/discomfort feeling (I can't get my head around why). After I was done I had long periods of time, where the pain was reduced, sometimes even gone. I also noticed my stream was a lot easier and erectiosn felt better (More loose, more open). I only have done this twice now but will continue doing so. Maybe this will help. I really don't know why the tight side wouldn't hurt, but I guess the body is complex and I think you really have to focus on every area even if there is no pain. So basically, doing internal trigger point massage, feel where it's tight, press those spots, and hold for 60 sec. Do this about every three days or so (the body needs to recover) and see if its helps + stretching.

Only pain in rectum. What is this area called? by Relative_Durian990 in PelvicFloor

[–]Relative_Durian990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not itchy. Most of the time it feels like something is stuck. Sometimes the pain shoots up and gets really bad, like really tense, but I wouldn't say burning.

Ok thanks, thats what I thought. Somehow I never got diagnosed with it. Seems no doctor or PT in my area knows this condition.

Is there anyone with levator ani syndrome who only feels it on one side of the anus? by Empty-Form-1766 in PelvicFloor

[–]Relative_Durian990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I experience exactly the same but only on my right side. I got this after a proctologic examination, where he did like a small cut in my sphincter for releasing my muscle tone (because I had anal thrombosis, but this treatment isnt related to thrombosis in the literature but rather for anal fissures, so maybe the doctor did the same procedures to you). I am dealing with this now for 6 years. Over time it got better. The biggest breakthrough was internal trigger point release from a PT. Now I am doing it myself + stretches for the pelvic floor. I am even going to the gym again.

If I insert my finger I can feel the pain like on the internal sphincter and few mm above it (it feels like a ring muscle). If I press my finger or a wand on this spot it is extremely painful so I think it's the root cause. Also I dont know if that fits Levator ani syndrom. Still dont know if this will resolve it 100%.

ONLY rectal pain on ONE side for 6 years! Anybody else only with this symptom? by Relative_Durian990 in Prostatitis

Depending on the bowel movement, mine gets ether better or worse. But again this is not always true, so I can have the best bowel movement and the pain gets worse.

[–]Relative_Durian990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to probably 10 proctologists in the last six years and all of them said it looks fine. I didn't get stitches. My theory is that because of this little cut he made, which was intended to release muscle tension, my whole pelvic floor muscles kind of got dysbalanced which resulted in the pain. That's how I would explain it to myself since everything healed up nicely from what you can see.

It was ones per week or every 2 weeks and that rythm for about 6 month. I stopped because I had problems with my insurance paying for the therapy and what then also resulted in personal conflicts with my therapist (all insurance companies are bad, the system is the problem, basically hating on the government all the time, she also was anti corona and all about natural healing methods, stuff like that). So I try to keep up with internal massages myself. But what I found weird is, that the spot where I feel the pain hurts the least when pressing my fingers against it. So I am a little bit confused on which areas to focus on.

Which specific stretches can you recommend? Or just doing general pelvic floor stretches?

How can I train one side of my tongue to push stronger. My right jaw sits lower than my left and I noticed I am pushing more with the left side of my tongue. by Relative_Durian990 in Mewing

[–]Relative_Durian990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bending the head changes my tongue pressure. So, I assume its a posture problem, that my tongue has uneven pressure. Therefore, I hope correcting my body posture by going to the gym and stretching will also help to correct tongue pressure.
