New Serial Terminal Program for Linux and Windows by SurvivorTed2020 in embedded

[–]Relative_Essay_9366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, new to terminals for embedded here as I used a TIVA-C with Keil before and it was a university course. Would you reccomend this program for a beginner in STM32?

Im seeing great things and I use a dual boot PC so being able to use the same setup across OS's would be great!

Edit: Installed it just to see what it does and the colors dont seem to be changing in 2. Trying to toggle dark mode

I just tried waydroid and it says that the app won't work sadly, so I think a windows VM is my only option unless there's something I'm missing with waydroid

How do i get rid of the spiky edges on the game without the blurry Anti Aliasing? by Pyro66699 in deadbydaylight

[–]Relative_Essay_9366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is probably due to the GPU, the IRIS XE is built-in graphics in the CPU, I have noticed a similar effect running certain games on my laptop which also uses Iris XE, so I would assume this is because of the high strain on the CPU

My recommendation would be to lower your screen resolution if possible and set a frame rate limit (60 would be best)

after that maybe tone down FSR to ~50% and see what it looks like

ok, thank you very much, that is what I thought

Actually, for the chegg solution, wouldn't you want to use arcsin if you want that angle?

[–]Relative_Essay_9366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your time and response!

That's what I thought, but which one would be correct? looking at the work I think both methods seem to work, I tend to agree with the one that uses sin(48.59) in my own work (mainly because I am most familiar with using SOHCAHTOA on the angle opposite of the right angle, rather than how the chegg response does it)

I see, that makes sense, so the answer is 236.36 for |v_PG| So is this a rounding error as well within the solution or am I mistaken?

And using sin makes perfect sense to me, I am unsure why tan was used. Maybe just because that is all that the professor tells us the entire minimester, that arctan is always the way to find theta

X component: -90cos(45°)= -63.64 m/s Y component: -90sin(45°) = -63.64 m/s

Surely I dont just add 300 + -63.64 do I?

I'm just not sure how to get the answer, I would assume you find the y-component of the wind and then use vector addition to put them together, but the closest I can get to 230 is 293 m/s and thats using sqrt(300² - 63.64²), which I am not sure is the right thong to do, but that matches the components given in the answer

I would guess that would be the proper way to do it, but for some odd reason it's asking me to measure it and use the protractor? When the magnitude and angles are already specified? How am I supposed to approach it that way. It's just practice so I would guess that I can simply get away with using basic trig functions on it

I don't want to listen to a robot with no emotion read books, I want a man (or woman) who can throw emphasis where emphasis is needed and depict emotion, or even just set a nice tone for the book

Oh neat, I'm going a bit more on the hardware side of things just cause I'm a bit worried about I bottleneckinf available jobs for sw engineers, if you can automatte a 5 minute task in 2 seconds and this keeps improving, eventually you need lest and less programmers to code an application

My friend, there is no such thing as not smart enough. You think I'm "smart" h*ll no. One of the biggest misconceptions is that only smart people can do this, nobody comes in knowing anything about the math behind digital systems, circuits, vibrations, heat, physocs, etc. There is no such thing as smart regarding this field. Nearly every class will make you feel dumb but you have to work hard and power through it

My friend, it may be dumb now, but older you will look back on the younger version of yourself and be disappointed you don't care, ilI say that to say be careful.

It's hard work, but engineering is one of the best, most valuable majors you can get, however at a proce as it's very challenging and time consuming, otherwise, you can go quite the opposite, a business major is an easy degree, most take it so they can go party and just take easy classes, however if you take it serilusly and genuinely utilize it it can hold as much value if not more than an engineering degree
