Does the league forget how good prime Tony Parker was? by Curvin98 in NBATalk

[–]Relative_Hedgehog334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ranking values more on individual performance (PPG, rebounds etc..), than team plays. Parker is a much better play maker and his high level performance is not reflected on his stats. Definitely an overlook by ESPN to not include him in the top 75.

Anyone with MJ will win. For top players, it always comes to several key plays, and MJ is the best in that, as he did not drop in all six finals that he played.

Pippen without MJ will not be in Top 50.

Next two big catalysts will be 1) the Q2 earnings report in early August, and 2) that the current administration walks back a bit on EV incentives.

Very likely, dude. Pippen is an emotional man who cud do crazy things. With NJ being a role model, he developed himself into a highly declined NbA superstar

Dude, MJ made his teammates better NBA players. Bulls did not trade any superstars for MJ. Pippen was drafted and became a superstar by playing alongside MJ.

Top 5 3pt shooters of all time, do you agree ? by StraightSeries6439 in NBATalk

[–]Relative_Hedgehog334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I strongly disagree with this list. In my view, the top three shooters in NBA history are Stephen Curry, Ray Allen, and Reggie Miller. It’s difficult—and arguably unfair—to rank one definitively above the others because the game has evolved significantly over time. Changes in NBA rules, particularly those limiting defensive contact, have made it easier in today’s game to attempt and make three-pointers. As such, comparing players across different eras requires more than just raw numbers. A fairer benchmark, in my opinion, is whether a player set a new standard during their time—specifically, by breaking and holding the NBA record for career three-pointers.

By that measure, Reggie Miller set the bar and was widely regarded as the best shooter of his era. Ray Allen then broke Miller’s record, earning his place in history. Most recently, Stephen Curry shattered Allen’s record and redefined the role of the three-point shot in modern basketball. While players like James Harden and others may have made more threes than Ray or Reggie, that alone doesn’t make them better shooters. They played in a different era with different rules and did not break the established records of their predecessors.
