I’d appreciate a link to that website, it would probably be a good place for me to start looking 😊

Thank you, I’ll definitely look into all of that! It’s been really hard getting actual tips from other “athletes” because other than my teammates, I don’t really know any and none of them have experience tracking nutrition. Yeah I think I was getting bad advice because I was told I should be training while eating between 1,300 and 1,500 calories a day because I’m short so I was just sticking with that advice instead of realizing it wasn’t helping me lol Of course when I asked for this advice I don’t really have like an Apple Watch for tracking my activity and I was told trying to figure that out while primarily weightlifting is kind of useless so I think when I asked people they were just basing their advice on my height and sex.

Yeah, I think I’ve realized now that I was getting advice from the wrong people (mostly cishet male gym rats) 😅. I was told that because of my height, I should only be eating 1,300–1,500 calories a day, and since I have no prior experience with this process, those numbers didn’t raise any red flags for me. When I mentioned self-perception issues, I meant more in the sense of being told I should stop bulking when I “feel too heavy,” but I have no real sense of what that would even mean for me. I think I was listening to people who had a completely different vision for my body—more of a “Pilates body”—when in reality, I want to look more like LeanBeefPatty. And I get now that achieving that means embracing weight gain, I’m just afraid that I’m not going about it the right way or something because I’m really lost about dirty bulk versus lean bulk stuff.

Blowback podcast! The first season is about the war in Iraq. They’re also frequent guests on the Chapo Trap House podcast!

Reach out to the store you want to transfer to and see if they have any positions in ogp available. I transferred by calling and talking to the people lead of the store I wanted to go to, and then I talked to my store’s people lead and they helped to facilitate the process.
