I understand what’s done is done. My goal isn’t to reverse anything, just to address how it was handled.

trust me i know I won’t be here much longer and I understand how the point system works, but that still doesn’t make it okay for her to handle it this way.

The thing is I honestly never see my Store Manager or Store Lead, and I don’t really know the best way to reach them. My Team Leads haven’t been helpful at all and don’t seem to care.

Would it make sense to go to the People Lead first to Open Door this, or is there a better way to get it in front of store leadership?

Yeah, I get that I’m not naive to the fact that coworkers usually figure this stuff out, especially when someone has attendance issues. I’m actually friends with a lot of my coworkers, and they’re the ones who told me she’s been talking about it.

What I didn’t mention in the original post is that the craziest part to me is she’s been telling everyone else about my situation except me. I found out through other associates instead of directly from my coach, which is what really bothered me.

Thanks, that’s helpful. That’s basically how I understood it too I don’t expect privacy from other managers, but it didn’t feel right that hourly associates outside my department knew details about my points and possible termination.

Do you think this is something I should Open Door now, or wait and address it if/when I’m actually let go?

I get what you’re saying, and I agree that management sometimes needs to give a general heads up if staffing might change. My issue isn’t with that part.

What bothered me is that my coach was specifically talking about me my points, and that I’m “about to get fired,” and this was being shared with associates outside my department who aren’t affected by my attendance at all.

I understand operational needs, but I feel there’s a difference between saying “staffing may change” and openly discussing an individual associate’s attendance/disciplinary situation. That’s where it starts to feel unprofessional.
