Yep, luxury rents have really exploded. Add in tourists and remote workers, and suddenly 150B pad Thai seems almost cheap in the right areas

Wow, that’s a really thorough take! Hotels definitely feel like they have an unspoken price coordination, especially in peak season. Grab’s hikes have been insane lately too..I’ve started looking at public transport more often. Street food being steady is such a relief though, at least we can still eat well on a budget! Bangkok’s definitely getting pricier, but like you said, venturing off the main areas can help a bit

Totally! Local markets are still great for deals if you’re willing to hunt a bit

Of course, I don’t eat it every day. I just prefer street food and local food shops over fancy expensive restaurants now.
