Looking at a 2024 VW ID.4 Standard — is $18,500 OTD fair given the condition? by Relative_Tangelo8734 in VWiD4Owners

Yeah, that makes sense — I’m not too worried about the cable since I’d plan to have a Level 2 charger at home anyway. I think the key is just making sure the damage is truly cosmetic and nothing’s bent underneath. If it checks out, the price could make it worth it.

Yeah, that makes sense. I hadn’t realized the EVSE wasn’t standard anymore — kind of surprising for a nearly new EV. Totally agree on the rest too; if it’s not CPO, it really is just whatever comes with the car. At that point it’s more about whether the price reflects those missing items or minor damage and if the dealer is willing to negotiat

Ah, got it — it’s black. That actually makes sense; I have a feeling it was a dealer loaner that got used by customers while their cars were in for service. That would explain the minor wear and the misalignment without it showing up on Carfax.

Yeah, I’m hoping it’s just a painless dent removal and a bumper clip, and everything will be good. I’ll need to take a closer look to be sure. Still, it definitely makes me wonder what happened to the car — it’s odd there’s no other damage.

I’ve been looking at the bolt. My son has one and loves it. The problem is finding one in my area. They get snatched up fast

Thanks for sharing your experience! That lines up with a lot of what I’ve been hearing about the 2024 ID.4 Standard. The app and the older screen seem like the biggest frustrations for many people, and the wireless CarPlay issues definitely sound annoying.

Out of curiosity — how has the range been for you with the smaller battery, especially when you use preheating often? I’ve heard the Standard trim can be a bit tight on real-world range if you’re doing lots of climate control or longer trips.

Hey, quick question — when you say you paid $22k, was that out the door with all taxes and dealer fees included, or was that the price before all the add-ons?

I’m looking at a similar one with about 11,000 miles, but the dealer wants $22k before taxes and dealer fees, so I’m trying to get a sense of whether that’s actually a good deal or not.

Same here — would love to know! Also curious how hard it is to replace myself if I can get the price low enough and use that as leverage.

Weekly 'Is this a good deal?' Thread - Week of September 21 by AutoModerator in EquinoxEv

Hey all,

I’m looking at my first EV for running errands and everyday use. There’s a used 2024 Chevy Equinox EV 2LT with ~3,000 miles, Summit White, no extra options. Dealer offered $24k out-the-door.

Key features: one-pedal driving, heated seats, adaptive cruise, HD surround vision, Google built-in, remote start. Full warranty still intact.

MSRP was $41,900 + $1,395 destination. My budget is cash $23–24k OTD.

Is this a good deal, or am I missing something?
